The Pub — Restaurant in Melbourne

Came in to watch the UFC on a Sunday afternoon, doorman was professional and polite -thought would be a good place. Once arrived ordered promo HEINEKEN 2x pints to enter prize draw for F1 tickets at the bar, the bar person didn’t give us the entry ticket at all, never mind. But after we found some seats next to another bar relised the bar staff HATED their jobs and made the experience pretty bad. Ordered more heineken but this time in a jug and paid $35 bucks for a 2.5 pitcher - even though 2 pints were on offer for $9.5 each. No one told us they just let us get totally ripped off. My boyfriend asked if the bathroom was over there and the Bar man didn’t even speak just pointed and gave an angry look at us. Twice whilst we were sat next to the bar the water soda guna broke and squirted me in the back, I didn’t care much but when the guy next to us said that’s twice you’ve got me (smiling / joking ) the bar man said “well how about you don’t sit there then”. - quite clearly not joking and not being nice at all. Another guy asked if there was any self serve water and the girl turned round and said “I don’t know it’s my first day” again not even smiling or acting helpful just like the guy was an idiot for asking it the bar served water....

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND for anything other than the great TVs for sport. The people who work on the bars are impolite and hate...

I took my brother, who is well over 18, and two younger cousins to The Pub for dinner, a place we've visited many times as regulars with extended family. However, after this experience, we won’t be back. The three staff members on duty that night were rude and accused my brother and I of being underage From the moment we arrived, we were treated with suspicion. We were asked for ID as we sat down, again when ordering one alcoholic drink, and then a third time by the manager. We showed our ID three separate times, the last being the manager, who was particularly rude. My brother and I were unable to enjoy our meal with the family because of their rude invasive behaviour, despite showing valid ID each time. They didn’t apologise or acknowledge the mistake—just shook their heads in silence. A simple “Sorry for the inconvenience” would’ve gone a long way, but instead, the staff were dismissive and disrespectful. Very disappointing for a place we’ve always enjoyed. Unfortunately I’ll be informing friends & family to discontinue visits...
