Woods — Restaurant in Melbourne

Worst restaurant I've been to in a very long time. After booking a table for seven of our staff to have lunch together over the phone, we arrived and took our seat. We then waited 20 minutes for our orders to be taken and another 15 for our drinks to arrive. We received dry chicken and burnt parmas at different times and then had to discover for ourselves that two salmon dishes that we ordered were forgotten about. After speaking with management twice, we were told that it was because the ticket machine wasn't printing correctly, where in actual fact it was because of the lack of service and having no waiters check our table at any stage. We also had to send a tomato juice back. In the end, we didn't even eat the last two orders because they would take another 10 minutes. Attempted to have lunch at woods while on a course at the hotel. We only had 45 minutes for lunch. Ordered at 12:10 in the cafe area. About 10 minutes later a large group sat in the main restaurant area. They all got their lunch before I did. 40 minutes later still no lunch. Told waiter to cancel the order as I had to go back to class. Lunch miraculously arrived. Put into takeaway container. Southern fried chicken burger turned out to be a manky piece of dry grilled chicken, a couple of sprigs of rocket and no mayo to speak of on a stale rock hard bun. It went straight in the bin. Don't go here if you actually want service. Found the Woods when I was wandering around St Kilda Road looking for some breakfast options. Walked in and was met by a waiter who asked whether we wanted buffet or a la carte. We elected for the a la carte and he provided us with menus and took our coffee order. After 20 minutes we hadn't received our coffees or seen the waiter again to order food. I walked around the cafe to try and find the waiter, however no where to be seen.
