Mrs Mac's Takeaway Shop — Restaurant in Morley

[EDIT : JAN 2025] ... Clearly "tradie" industry has spoken (MOST sites throughout WA) ... Mrs Macs pies just don't seem to be popular choice anymore.

MM pies == ALWAYS the last ones on shelves on food trucks - which then means an over-cooked/burnt pie (scraps as you would say)

Mrs Macs in general though ... With the (3x different) food trucks that come round to our work - Mrs Macs just doesn't seem to sell very well these days.

Used to work at MM back in the day - so I've ALWAYS held an affection to MM - but just not the same quality of pie these days.

Firstly, the store (and it's immediate staff) on the street corner deserve 5 stars - they are a shining light of customer service and happiness.

Have eaten many a Mrs Macs pie over the years ... Used to love them back in the early 2000's - but nowdays have a different taste to them, just not the same as used to be.

I still occasionally buy a MM pie from the food truck at work (only when the homemade pies/SR have sold-out).

These days, some mrs macs pies are average, others i regret even buying ... either it's "stinuey meat", or this weird off-putting taste in the pastry (hard to describe - but an issue with pastry and not the meat).

One thing i do give Mrs Macs credit for is their ongoing high level of hygiene + HACCP standards. They have always excelled...

Definitely has gone down the pipes since new ownership, prices up ALOT and lucky to get any seconds pies as there is no quality control judging by the last few boxs of pies i got from the supermarket they were disgustingly made wernt even in 1 piece and covered in thick flour and no it had nothing to do with transport or storage.... so they are selling their seconds pies at full price. Boxes of byo pies are now a whopping $56 is Definitely not good at all such a shame, 4ntwenty are almost half the price and they look 10times better and the pie is full. Hi there im a big fan of your pies and have been eating for years. I love your beef chilli and cheese the most but have found it difficult to find. I have now found a supplier of these as its been a while since i have had one . I finally got home put it in the oven onced cooked what a dissapointment the pie i once enjoyed had turned not so good the top had that plastic sort of smell to it what once a great filled pie with yellow cheese and when you bit into it felt like heaven was not there anymore sorry to say but it was a let down. Please Mrs macks pies i hope you understand...
