Can’t recall having worse Chinese before. The dim sims were so dry tight and compact you could rob a bank with them. My Grandfather got a prawn omelette with Chinese gravy. I’ve never seen so much gravy in my life, was absolutely drowned in it and the taste was just awful. Worst thing by a country mile was the crispy skin peaking duck. Instead of it being traditional crispy skin it was done in like a batter you use for deep frying fish! Never seen anything like it. Absolutely embarrassing, the duck was so tough and inedible as well. Again it was also just drowning in sauce to try and cover up such a terrible product. This restaurant is an insult to Japanese cuisine. Photo is of the crispy skin Peaking duck which for whatever reason is just think layers of batter 😂

We had a delicious dinner here & its obvious why its so popular! It would have been nice to receive table service to order, however current Covid restrictions preclude this & you must order & pay in advance at the front. Service was fantastic, lovely friendly staff & comfortable seating 🙏 See photos of meals - Steamed Dim Sims, Hot & sour soups (very spicy), Special Fried Rice, Combination sizzling Hot Plate - Mongolian sauce, BBQ Pork in Plum sauce AND Fried Ice cream of course :) Gave it 4 stars as the table next to us was terrible & out of control kids crying etc .... think they could have been asked to do something.

I've been going to Twin Towns for over 30 years while on holidays and have never eaten at Orient until last night. I'm so glad I did as it was a pleasant surprise and a hundred times better than I imagined. The service could not be faulted with all staff greeting us with smiles. We walked in and were immediately seated, which was great for a Saturday night. The food was quick to be brought to our table. While we didn't order anything extravagant, our meals were beautiful. We enjoyed watching the "sizzling" meals come out of the kitchen. I'll definitely go back!

We ordered soup, entree and a main. (Duck)

Soup arrived 45 min in Whilst still eating the soup an incorrect main arrived (chicken)

We advised incorrect dish and waiting entree, she said entree will come out soon ( after main 🤷‍♀️)

Another half hr later chicken again, 10 min later another chicken

Asked two wait staff for copy of our order

Finally the second request came out acknowledging we ordered duck. We asked for a refund which she advised it’s about to come out.

Guess what !! Chicken again Within 30 seconds it was swapped to duck

So it took an hour half with 4 wrong orders of chicken to finally get the duck we ordered. By the time we got the plates and cutlery to eat it - it was Luke warm.

The fried rice was good but the duck was not worth the wait.

Two bar staff doing nothing behind bar whilst waiters running around super busy - surely one of them could have helped by clearing tables.

Disappointed as last year cooly rocks...

I was very disappointed by the food. I eat Chinese a lot and was very disappointed. I ordered the Sizzling Sichuan Beef which was sizzling, but very pale in colour... there was barely any taste, but I must admit that the beef was tender. I also ordered the Honey Chicken... which was chicken, but the honey sauce appeared to literally have water in it... it barely tasted of any honey at all?? And finally the Special Fried Rice.... which for $11 a bowl was very small and so very bland. All in all the whole meal tasted like something from a counter at a food court... only with no taste. I was very disappointed and left after only eating about half of my meal... Intried to find anjoyment from it... but I am sorry Twin Towns this was awful. Looking at you clientele though... which was a lot of the older generation... I can only think that you completely dulled down any flavour to satisfy them??? If I could leave no stars on this...

The ordering was very much a process. You choose, you line up, you order, you pay, but got to say I don't think the lady taking the orders was all that interested. Food was pretty average. I know it was busy, but obviously others did not have what I had. San Choi Bouy - never had it with peas/corn. Where was the mince and noodles? The spring rolls were what I expect buying a packet from Woolworths. Very thin, all pastry, hardly any substance inside. Beef in black bean, beef was tender but tasteless, very soft (too soft). Seemed like it had been marinating for a long time. Prawn with cashew - very nice. Steamed rice as good as steamed rice can taste, was nice. Went here last time I visited, but they have turned me off it this time, so wont be a next time. Here is tip - don't get the wild boar merlot - a...
