PointBreak Cafe & Co — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I never usually write these but given how these google reviews steered us to the Point Break Cafe by chance in the first place, I felt compelled to write about how good a cafe this place is!

Luckily we found this place on day one of our holiday - the breakfasts were amazing (suggestion - get the Swiss mushrooms as a side every time). We ended up having breakfast here almost every day (when you are onto something good, no point deviating away from it). The place was very clean, food well priced with good variety and to top it off, the coffee was excellent.

I know many people whom have small businesses in hospitality and I love to support them. Without businesses like this, our holidaying experience would be worse off for it. It was a real pleasure to meet Fernando (owner) and his lovely staff. They are a credit to the business and we wish him all the success going forward. From what we experienced, it will become a household name on the border.

This cafe is an absolute gem! My friend and I had the most fantastic brunch here and I can't recommend it enough.

I ordered the corn fritters, they were perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, yet still sooo fluffy on the inside. They came served with a delicious relish that had just the right amount of sweetness!

I also had a fresh pressed orange juice, and it was exactly what I was hoping for—vibrant, zesty, and so refreshing!

Stayed in coolangatta for a week back in October 2024. First 2 days had to include finding the best breakfast. 3 local cafes later, tried point break and that is where we went for the rest of the trip! The food, coffee and above all, service, were beyond fantastic! On the second day of ordering breakfast from the team, they remembered my name! Such a rare experience as a customer. The food was fantastic every time and the coffee was beautiful, even for a very picky drinker like myself. Cannot recommend highly enough!! Will likely stay in coolangatta again just to visit point...
