H we have been coming here for many many years and am so sad to say we’ve tried it recently several times since new owners and are so disappointed, we ordered honey chicken which was dry, hardly any honey/sauce, mongolian beef which had a strange unpleasant aftertaste, special fried rice which seemed to be missing vegetables and very little flavour, sweet and sour pork was grissly, the meat used to be tender and no grissle, the wontongs/dumplings were dry and the crispy ones were small very dry/terrible, after spending nearly $100, was so disappointed, it all tasted like it was thrown together quickly with little care in flavour or quality of product. we have tried a couple of times since change of owners, even though service was friendly am so sorry but doubt we’ll ever be back. Also used to get prawn chips thrown in when we spent a large amount, but new...

We hadn’t tried this restaurant and by chance we spoke to someone who had been recently that said the food was good. It’s a small place with only a few tables down an arcade. We ordered a few main courses and the special fried rice. The Mongolian Lamb was tender, tasty and the serving was generous with a good mix of vegetables. The Chilli Prawns again were very tasty as was the Special Fried Rice. The staff were very friendly and the owner came out and chatted with us which was a nice touch. The quality of the food was very good as was the service. If you’re looking for somewhere fancy this isn’t for you but if you want some decent Chinese food in a no frills location this is a great find. As new owners feeling their way I wish them all the best. Keep up...

We were only in Coffs for the night and decided to try this restaurant based on past reviews. We were not disappointed. We ordered dim sims and vegetarian spring rolls which arrived quickly. All cooked nicely. Then came out our fried rice, sweet and sour chicken fritters (the best S and S sauce I have ever tasted) then the fillet steak in Peking sauce which was as fillet steak should be tender and lean and very tasty. Custom seemed to be mainly takeaway but the premises were clean and our host was very friendly. A great find and inexpensive at $59 with three soft drinks. Our only disappointment was that we are not locals as we would make this Chinese restaurant our regular...

My husband I arrived in Coffs Harbour Sunday afternoon. A few other places were closed at that time. The Peking Palace is tucked down a small arcade, with limited seating. The menu at Peking Palace looked impressive and we weren't disappointed with our choices. My husband chose an omelette, special fried rice which included prawns and chicken. The fresh prawns were cooked to perfection, no doubt local. I chose a vegetarian style stir-fry and added chicken to it. It was delicious. Take-away was busy while we ate. Our bill came to nearly $60 and this included 3 cans of software drink and a doggie-bag because we had leftovers.

While heading down from the Gold Coast, I did a quick search for Chinese food, Peking Palace came up with the most highest ratings, so husband and I decided to give it a try. Everything tasted so good! Clean and tasty! Nothing overpowering in flavour or too heavy. We ordered green beans, slow cooked braised pork, salt and pepper prawns, and stir fry rice noodles with beef. The couple who run the restaurant are so kind and happy to accommodate if anything is wrong, given you speak up. Not that there would or was anything wrong! Will be our future pit stop for a feed when going up or down from the Gold Coast!

Hidden away down an arcade alley, but definitely worth going out of your way to find the Peking Palace Chinese Restaurant. We had Pork Spring Rolls, Satay Chicken and Mongolian Beef with Fried rice. Too much for the 2 of us to finish. Good size (large) servings. The Chicken was tender and the satay was not dry but also not sloppy. Really good. The Mongolian was good but not as excellent as the Satay. The Spring Rolls were large and very tasty but not spicy. Highly recommended.
