The vibe looked great but one of the girls that works there is incredibly rude. Shocking customer service. I ordered a ham and cheese panini to take away. The servers were all chatting away and I thought they had forgotten my sandwich in the grill so I asked if it was ready in a really kind gentle manner and she took my sandwich off the grill, gave it to me and said “don’t come back here again if you can’t wait for a sandwich!!!” Determined not to let anything spoil my calm mood I just said ok noted, I’m sure the sandwich will be good. Determined to insult me further she then said no the sandwich won’t be any good because I couldn’t wait. Pity some people don’t listen as I only asked if my sandwich was ready and I got it shoved at me with an insult to boot. I have seen other reviews saying the similar thing “very unfriendly” definitely...

Smallish hipster joint for good coffee and food. Stopped in on an unusually cold Newcastle morning, while the outdoor tables looked nice to sit on, inside was calling to keep warm. The menu had a good selection on offer, think granola, bagels, toasted sandwiches. Visited on a Sunday and they didn't have the special of the week available which I had seen on their instagram. Nonetheless the ham and cheese toastie was good. Giving 4 out of 5 stars, a couple of things they could do better: Menu availability - my first two options they had run out of (special of the week and the chicken toastie), and then the person who brought out the food didn't bring any cutlery - we had to get...

They use excellent beans and the first coffee I had there (large soy flat white extra hot ) was some of the best I’ve had in recent memory - full body, distinct, rich taste and the right temperature. I had another excellent coffee later in the week (same barista) but today was a big let down. After a long(ish) wait, the coffee was all wrong: too much foam, not remotely hot enough and weak (it was also a different barista). Because the coffee is significantly pricier than other places, consistency is important so you know you get an excellent coffee that’s worth the additional $$ every time. You have a great product but there is room for...

A confusing start to breakfast with no direction on where to sit/what to order, but after settling in it’s a very cute cafe! We ordered the mushroom tempeh burger and the Turkish breakfast plate. The burger was full of flavour, filling and fabulous. The Turkish plate was a little underwhelming but nice flavours. Unfortunately there is no table service and a wait at the counter so getting anything takes a bit of time eg. some water for the table or previous patrons plates cleared. All in all yummy food, average service.

Yea I had a good experience whilst wondering today. Good Brother treated me to a charismatic barister and delicious coffee, ther was also room for me to dine in and save the take away cup, at which suggestion I was delighted and bathed in the sun from a large window seat . That's been a covid worry of mine, the increased use of takeaway cups isn't kind on the environment. I'm glad to see the begining of this recovery. There were also some good looking baked goods I'll try next time. Thanks Good Brother 👌
