I'll start this review by mentioning that I am not vegan and that I love Vietnam. I have been there twice for a total of 6 weeks and cannot wait to go back again. I love Vietnamese food, culture and of course the people. Vegan world has a great selection of yummy food and the staff there are great and friendly. Our server Malu was not Vietnamese but made great recommendations on what we should get. We got a broad selection and shared amongst us, it was all really delicious and the chicken/meat substitutes were really nice. I normally don't eat that kind of stuff. My stand out was the Vietnamese iced coffee, it was the kind you let brew at the table and the smell and first sip instantly transported me back to Dong Van. Its amazing how tasts and smells can do that to you. Thanks for the priceless, yet still cheap experience. Can't wait to go back to Vegan world and be...
Read moreDelicious vegan food. Big servings. So far I have tried the tom yum fried rice, satay skewers, mushroom skewers with salad, and the laksa and they were all great (fried rice was my favourite). Good location in northbridge /west perth and right next to a vegetarian market. Prices seem reasonable to me ($16 for the fried rice which is always too much to eat at once and I take home half in a container), apparently there is a 15% weekend surcharge but I only go on weekdays. The ambience isn't great, the lights are sort of ugly and too bright. Atmosphere is not a priority for me but I think they could improve the vibe and lighting without heaps of effort or money and I hope they will. Vegan world is actually such a good name for a vegan restaurant. Having vegan in the title is very helpful when googling or just walking around Northbridge...
Read moreWe ordered two bowls of curry laksa noodles for $39.80. There were only two occupied tables in the store, and there were four of us in total, but we waited about 20 minutes for our food to be served. When the noodles arrived, the soup had almost been absorbed by the noodles. I believe it had been soaking in the kitchen for a while before taking it out. The noodles almost turned into Hokkien noodles, fat and soft. That's not all, this time there wasn't even eggplant, only three small pieces of vegetarian barbecued pork, three small pieces of tofu puffs, three pieces of broccoli, three small pieces of vegetarian chicken, and a few bean sprouts. Even the customer sitting next to us told the staff before leaving that if she needed help, it would be provided free of charge. She stressed that the service needed to be improved as it...
