Izakaya Konbini: A Hidden Gem for Authentic Japanese Cuisine
I had the pleasure of dining at Izakaya Konbini, and it was an incredible experience. From the moment we stepped in, Izakaya Konbini had a nice Tokyo Japan convenient store designs with a relaxing peacefulness to the place. The decor was charming, with a cozy, authentic feel like I was at a hidden gem in Tokyo.
The service was exceptional. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable, offering quick food service throughout the night. It's clear that they are passionate about the food they serve and take great pride in ensuring each guest has is served with Japanese standards!
Now, about the food — wow! Each dish was a perfect blend of flavors, beautifully presented, and made with high-quality ingredients. The sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth fresh, and the yakitori skewers were grilled to perfection. I highly recommend the karaage chicken; it was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with flavor. The chef's specials are not to be missed, showcasing the creativity and skill of the kitchen.
Overall, Izakaya Konbini exceeded my expectations. Whether you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine or just looking to try something new, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back for another round of delicious food and warm hospitality. Definitely a 5...
Read moreWe‘ve never tried Japanese hotpot before so gave this one a try. The konbini with salmon rice bowl was quite nice. The hotpot soup base was delicious and I enjoyed every sip, mixed it with my beef brisket cooked to my liking that was medium rare. Wasn‘t expecting a massive portion of this combo so I couldn‘t finish the salmon rice bowl but took it home with me - I had a few mouthful and it was super tasty. I‘d recommend the donut hotpot if you enjoy a light but flavourful soy base soup. It came with noodles at the bottom too which was quite nice.
Spicy chicken karaage was super tender and battered perfectly. Every time I have a karaage it‘s always dry - this was perfect.
Salmon sashimi was thick and a lovely fresh dish in between.
Agedashi tofu was beautiful and I basically drank that soup.
I‘m actually quite surprised that we were the only one at the restaurant considering how good the food was! But maybe they get busy at night and we were too early for dinner lol. The vibe was good too with some lively jazz music, a typical playlist you‘ll find when you visit a Japanese restaurant.
Will come back for sure. Ps. I‘m very sorry my daughter farted terribly loud on...
Read moreWas excited to try this “Izakaya” in Perth, having been to Japan a handful of times. And having been to various places in Perth that do it well. The decor walking in is cool, the Osaka reference was nice. Ordered the mentai cream udon via the QR code system… it looked nothing like the picture on the menu, to the point I questioned it. The staff were confused, saying it was what I ordered. Except it looked exactly like the squid cream udon. Including the obvious squid. They asked the chef, who again said it was the mentai. I’m going to say it wasn’t, but it was still “okay”. I eat squid as well as roe, so no biggie. Other dishes on our table were also “okay”. There are much better Japanese restaurants in Perth for similar prices. It’s a shame, because the concept of being a convenience store /...
