0 stars. Bar staff are EXTREMELY rude absolutely no customer service experience and it's obvious. I've been to this venue multiple times for the past few years and have given the benefit of the doubt that this may be their first job and they're still learning. Nothing has improved since then. I understand working in hospitality can be stressful but when a customer asks for water you do not serve them in a passive aggressive manner. This one lady shoved the cup of water so aggressively when giving it to me that the water splashed out of the cup and onto the table, luckily it did not splash onto me. It is a part of your RSA to be able to monitor intoxicated patrons and serve them water when needed. Bartending is not always about making fun cocktails and mixed drinks. Do not apply for a bartending job if you are unable to give the appropriate and respectful service for EVERY customer and the drinks they request whether it be alcoholic or non-alcoholic. I have noticed you are only served nicely if you are already friends with the bar staff. I also do understand towards the end of the night, staff need to clean and pack up the bar hence the water jugs and cups provided outside the bar. People only approach you for water when those jugs run out, no one does it to purposely harass the bartenders. We shouldn't even feel scared to ask for water from the bar anyway. It is only this venue with this kind of disrespectful bar staff. Other nightclubs and venues are way more friendly but it can't be helped when Metro City holds most of the events so this venue cannot be avoided just because of their bar staff. They clearly need more training. Mind you, I asked for water in a polite manner and was treated disrespectfully in return.

The cleanliness here is disgusting. The stairs, floors, and every corner of the venue reeks of urine and vomit. Carpet is clearly not the flooring for this venue and it is hard to clean. I doubt it's ever been cleaned because of how sticky it is all the time. The whole floor needs to be ripped out and replaced with something other than carpet. I'm sure this venue has the funds to be able to do so. Reading the past reviews, there have been multiple complaints about the cleanliness here not recently but from many years before and still nothing has been done about it. You would think this venue has had a deep clean because of covid-19 but it looks and smells the same since before the pandemic. Clearly they are too comfortable with how it is now and too lazy to make any improvements and renovations. This venue is Perth's biggest...

Really awesome coming here and seeing the set up Metro's city is still able to pull off. I went to the Delta Heavy concert last night and it was just amazing. I haven't seen lighting displays like that before, and the sound set up was second to none.

Unfortunately though the security staff at the event weren't very nice at all. Doors opened at 9pm and I got there an hour late, but the place was still empty. So I asked if I could pass out, and the security guard was so humourless it wasn't funny. It was like he was trying to show as little emotion as possible. As if he read a book the night before called "how to be a security guard" and rocked up the next day. I understand these guys manage some pretty deplorable behaviour at times, but I think it was pretty clear I just wanted to ask a simple question, and was being generally friendly at the time. And he was being so clearly unfriendly.

You then compare that to how they managed the 12 or so people repeatedly dancing between the barricades and the stage. What's the point of the barricades being there? The security would come once every half an hour and gently ask people to move out, and they'd come right back straight away. There were some people, one guy in particular, that they'd even let stay there once they'd moved people on. And this guy was actively encouraging people from the audience to come back. All they had was a tiny red piece of fabric the "block" the entrance to the walkway between the barricades and the stage. With no security positioned there, and just this tiny piece of fabric there, of course people aren't going to respect it. And the security would just sit there and watch it happen from the other side of the stage.

It just doesn't make sense why the security would be so unkind to someone being generally friendly and just looking for a simple answer to a simple question, but then people who are really being unruly, breaking the house rules, and not following instructions when told to leave that area, are given a free pass to do what they want and come back to do it all over again. It just makes no sense.

So overall, an amazing show but very poor show...

Was excited for a night out here for my first time, for my sisters birthday celebration. Soon as each member of my party was let in, I was singled out by the very unprofessional and terrible security staff. Crazy thing is they had no reason for not allowing me in, but simply just because they “said so”. I can only conclude that is is because of how I look and this was a discrimination issue. I wasn’t drunk, nor on any substances and was a full paying customer with a ticket and ID in hand. After being told to wait 30min-1 hour, I attempted to re enter after the time had past. Yet again was not allowed in because he said so, after a flurry of people that were stumbling and mumbling their words were let in, as we as not even being ticket holders. So yes I did point that out and the security did not like that. I was thrown to the ground, my shirt was ripped and beat without even resisting. Thankfully there was a party of people watching from the balcony, who had found me after who are willing to write a statement on my behalf as this was uncalled for and very unprofessional.

I’d appreciate if this venue would kindly reimburse my money for my ticket, train their security/ replace them with more experienced individuals and finally work on their discrimination issues.

I have yet to receive any word back from management, even after many requests have been ignored. I would highly recommend if any one wants to go to this venue to give it a miss. Also any headlining artist find a better, more safe, secure and professional venue as this could potentially...

On Saturday, I asked a security guard in the parking area about washrooms. He directed me to the stairs and another guard. The second guard, instead of helping, pushed me down the stairs in front of a crowd, making me feel embarrassed and unsafe. He said I could take a picture of his name tag but hid it with his jacket when I tried. This level of hostility and unprofessionalism is shocking. He did not listen or assist me at all, and I left feeling extremely upset. Metro City needs to address the behavior of its security staff.

One of the better venues in Perth, especially more intimate shows. Bars on each level, as well as a smoking area on the 1F balcony. Best view is from the first balcony, but definitely get there early as space is limited, and people will line the balcony stairs and platforms as well. **PRO TIP** balcony railings have drink rests, so I recommend getting 2-3 drinks in advance to prevent from giving up your balcony railing spot (until you have to pee).
