Bannsang Korean Restaurant — Restaurant in Darwin City

Went there on the opening day of the restaurant. I wasn't expecting a seat straight away, because I saw how busy the restaurant was. There were couple of people outside the restaurant waiting to be seated. So I went in and asked how much time will it take for a table for two, the guy on the front counter started bursting with anger and said "can't you see people outside waiting?", and I told him I am aware of that, thats why I came up and asked how long the wait is, then he again with his angry voice told me to look at the sticky notes in front of him with people's name who are waiting outside and how busy they were, and at the end he said "are you kidding me?". We went to Bannsang Korean Restaurant for dinner on Friday night, but our experience wasn’t great. The food tasted good, but the service and atmosphere had some issues. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive, which felt way too long. The restaurant was also very noisy – it was hard to hear each other at the table.

After the long wait for our food, we had to stand in line for another 10-12 minutes just to pay the bill, which was frustrating. If you’re ordering the bulgogi beef with fried egg bibimbap, be aware that although it tastes good, there isn’t much beef compared to the amount of rice and veggies. On a positive note, the crispy chicken was delicious.

My friends, family, especially my partner and I are regular here since the very week it opened. The staff are so friendly with us every time we come for dinner, despite our regular visit, the staff still shows us where the cutleries were and would constantly move us to a bigger table if our order won’t fit on the table we were seated on.

The foods are absolutely amazing just like the customer service and the waiting time! Staff, manager, and the owner(??) are very kind and friendly.

On my birthday, the staff did something special for me out of their own good will.

Everything I have written down is just the small reason to as why me and partner loves coming back here.
