This durian strudel is soooooo gooooood!
At first bite, right after the teeth cuts through those flaky pastries, the durian cream oozes out and fill the palate with wholesome sweet durianness! As the munch mashes the pastry and durian cream, the butter flavour emerges! I have to put my knife and fork down to focus on savouring the flavours!
I have the strudel with a black coffee. But with hindsight, I recommend to have this with black tea instead. The tea can wash oneās palate for repeated burst and mash of the durian and buttery flavours!
I pack the Chwee Kueh to go for my sister to try. She raves about it too! It is soft, the preserved radish (chai poh) was flavourful plus the sambal chilli gives it the just enough spicy kick!! DELISH!!
My sisterās family and I try the Apple + Mango and Lychee + Strawberry half strudels. Apple and Mango are the familyās favourite! The mango filling is very generous with small mango cubes to add to the texture and experience mango juices at the munch!
Thank you for putting urself on Google and I chanced on it while exploring Hyde Park⦠I telling my mates in Singapore to come try when they...

First the good things. There are many flavours to choose from. Peach, strawberry, mango, apple, durian, etc. The strudels are assembled on demand for freshness and you can pick two flavours in on strudel. They are not cloyingly sweet as some strudels can be.
The problem is the durian flavour option. As is generally known, durian is a controversial fruit. People either love it or hate it, and some are even afraid of it. I am one who will puke if I accidentally ate durian in any form, shape or size because the taste and lingering aftertaste (especially when you burp) is nauseating.
So I bought a mango and apple flavour one and when I cut and ate a piece, there are durian flavour inside. Same utensils must have been used to prepare the durian filling before mine, hence the contamination. I perfectly understand being innovative in flavours and probably success in attracting the adventurous foodie but I think it is important to have measures to avoid cross contamination when you are offering something like durian.
I loved the strudels here... but I don't think I dare...

5 ā durian and green tea horn. The crummiest, light pastry ever. The horns were beyond expectation.
Durian puffs... Texture of the puff pastry were expected, not a stand out. Durian filling out course...yummo!
Chwee kueh... Can't go wrong. They serve slightly warm and you may be grumbling about the cost... However, we all walked away satisfied and definitely will order again. Came with homemade sambal (nice hot and unami flavour) cooked with dried š¦.
Green tea latte, I requested for less sugar and I'm glad I did because it was still a tad sweet for me. Teh Tarik came in a tall glass like the...
