We booked this place because we heard that the food in particular the bbq was good. No surprises that this place is pricy, but we were willing to pay as we were celebrating two birthdays that evening. Food wise, the bbq wasnโ€™t too bad but portions were smaller than expected, the soups and pancakes were actually good. However, we were extremely disappointed with the way we were treated by two particular Korean staff, one male and female, which appeared (and I assume) to be the senior staff on shift as they were ones in charged of taking payment and setting up the bbq. We were rushed to take our order, and either of these staff wouldnโ€™t care to explain our order to us. They gave us โ€œattitudeโ€ (yes the eye roll!!) from the moment we took our seats to the moment we paid. The icing on the cake (no punt intended) was that we were asked to pay a โ€œcakageโ€ fee to only have the cake and candles brought out to the table still in the box and dropped in front of us. This made me wonder why were we even charged a โ€œcakageโ€ fee. Last I checked โ€œCakage is a fee that a restaurant charges to serve you and those in your party a dessert you've brought (and very possibly bought) for the occasionโ€.. we certainly were not served and we received no service, period. Also, to charged fees and not deliver, that is just bad practice for any business. I would have completely understand the lack of service if they were understaffed, but this was not the case, in fact the restaurant had 5 or more staffs rostered that evening. All up, the whole dinning experience was unpleasant, unprofessional and upsetting. Canโ€™t say that I will be returning nor will I be...

Choosing our dinner at this restaurant was a mistake, and I wouldn't recommend anyone wasting their time here. The entire dining experience was extremely disappointing. Firstly, the two menus offer limited choices, and it's baffling that we couldn't order both barbecue and other set menu items simultaneously. Secondly, the seating process was awkward. Only after we had selected our seats did we find out that they were already reserved, without any prior notification from the staff. We were asked to return to the entrance and wait. After a 5-minute wait, we were led to a narrow spot, but when we requested a different seating arrangement, the staff seemed indecisive and left us standing awkwardly while they sought advice from others. We waited uncomfortably in the restaurant, and then another staff member asked us to return to the entrance. Your staff members behave like machines, lacking the ability to adapt and accommodate customers' needs. Regarding the food, the quality of the meat was average. Despite being inexpensive, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to indulge in delicious cuisine. The complimentary soup had an overpowering soy sauce flavor and was not enjoyable to drink. In short, the staff's attitude of service was extremely poor, and the food was not...

Reliable all in one place for Korean cuisine in the city. While it may not have the โ€œbestโ€ dishes of any particular sort - they do everything well.

Actually I take that back, the bossam here is very good, and the quantities that it comes in are astronomical. Even the small one is more than enough for two people to share. I have eaten at both the upstairs kbbq and also the downstairs a la carte, and both are similar quality (which is good). Itโ€™s just great to have the convenience of a reliable Korean restaurant that does basically everything. The soups here are solid, as are the cold noodles. Unfortunately no photos of those dishes because I ate them and forgot.

The venue is enormous, upstairs and downstairs, plenty of seats and central in the city. The staff are very respectful and polite - and helpful with ordering. Ordering system is very intuitive, and makes ordering simple!

If you want a good reliable place for Korean food that will give you a choice between all the dishes and kbbq, then yeah - come...

This Korean bbq and meat restaurant is quite an institution for the variety of dishes on offer. You can get pretty much any major Korean dish here from the soups and stews, Korean pancake, noodles, meat dishes through to BBQ. They seem to separate the BBQ diners into a separate more aerated or outdoor section to reduce the otherwise inevitable smell for all diners. Dish sizes, especially the delicious perfectly braised pork dishes are huge and combined with the condiments very satisfying. It's a great speciality here in a comforting way. Other dishes we had were also humbly great to round off the meal, but I thought the pancake could have had more flavour in the batter and be crispier. It's a large restaurant, but it still gets pretty busy and staff cope well enough. To help with service, each table has a button to call wait staff, and there's an online ordering system to make things more efficient with payment at the end of the meal.

The place on a Friday night was reasonably bustling with after hours workers and families. The choice was to go Ala carte or bbq. We chose ala carte to satisfy our soup or stew cravings on a wintery night. The waiters answered our bell from the table and took orders for drinks and food. They have a famous pig trotters bossam platter which was more than enough for 3 ladies. We also had a side of salad, condiments and pickles. The japchae we ordered did not have as many toppings as we were used to, and the noodles were slightly overcooked and mushy. The kimchi stew was very flavoursome and well portioned with pork bones and melt in the mouth meat. It was quite a warm environment with the heater on top of us, which may have been a little uncomfortable with the hot food we were consuming. Overall it was an enjoyable experience with the accompaniment of shoju shots
