On Sunday June 9, I had the privilege of hosting an event at The Court Hotel, a venue that has been the backdrop for numerous successful gatherings I have organised over the course of the past six years. The exemplary level of service and meticulous attention to detail provided by the Court's staff consistently surpasses expectations. I would like to take this opportunity to commend Hannah, Keira, and Liam, who went above and beyond in their roles to ensure the seamless execution of our event. Their unwavering professionalism and dedication made all the difference in creating a memorable experience for our guests. Additionally, I would like to express my gratitude to Neil O'Connor for his invaluable assistance in bringing our event to fruition. In light of my exceptional experiences at the Court Hotel, I wholeheartedly endorse and recommend this esteemed establishment to others.

I had high hopes for the 90s brunch at The Court House, especially with the $83 price tag. The atmosphere was fun and nostalgic, and the music was definitely a highlight—it really set the tone and brought back some great memories. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match the experience. We were a group of about ten, and every plate arrived cold. My avocado on toast with egg tasted more like it had just come from the fridge rather than being freshly made. For the price, I was expecting something a bit more special and enjoyable. Drinks were also a challenge, as each time we wanted one we found ourselves queuing for quite a while, which took away from the relaxed brunch vibe. Overall, while I did enjoy the music and lively atmosphere, the food and service left me feeling underwhelmed, especially given the cost.

From beginning to end the whole way out party planning was assisted by Brendan and the amazing Court team. Literally nothing was a huge deal, everything was well and truely supported and assisted. This milestone party was a huge deal and everyone who came raved about the venue, the food, the service. Our party was exactly what we envisioned and exactly what our girl deserved for her party, that comes down to the staff and venue making it a huge success. You should all be very proud of the work you did yesterday. Massive thank you to Brendan and the Court team. (So sorry I didn’t get all your names) but from the door staff to the bar staff you’re all so good at what you do.

Absolutely worst service I've ever had in my life. Showed up for a paid event that started at 8pm. I was in a group of five & had four of us allowed into the venue whilst one person wasn't allowed in "due to intoxication". We had all had a couple of drinks but we were by no means drunk. My friend was asked to wait an hour to sober up before he could enter. In that time had multiple glasses of water provided by the security of The Court but after the hour was still not allowed in. I was then threatened to be kicked out of the venue for asking security why my friend could not be let in. Apparently I had also become intoxicated after drinking water for the hour. After another hour he was still told to wait and when we asked for a refund on the ticket we were directed to contact the event coordinators on Facebook. Totally ridiculous. I would at least expect a phone number or email. The event ended at 1am and the friend was finally allowed in at 11pm allowing two hours of the five hour event. We will NEVER be coming back to this venue, was the worst service I have ever received. I have an unrestricted bar managers license and not a single person we spoke to had any kind of idea what they were doing or any legitimate reason for denying entry to my friend. The only possible reason we could see was the colour of his skin. The only kind of refund policy listed is "No Refunds", according to Australian Consumer Law they were to provide access to the five hour event which they did not provide so would warrant a refund under law. Again,...

Great place for a quiet Friday Afternoon drink to wind down from work - from 2 until 5 you pretty much have the place to yourself plus a few other like-minded folks. People largely keep to themselves in ones, twos or threes. A few bigger groups celebrating getting through another week in little ole Perth.

Food and Service are great. Good location and easy to find. Nice big Open doors at the front.

As usual when I enter a place - people leave or pretend they are busy on important business.

This time the only people who would talk to me were a returning Irishman - who had lost his bags in Bangkok and the DJ.

The excellent bearded DJ (GREG?) took a bit of time out to chat. We shared a few (lots) of laughs before he had to finish set up for the 4 0clock crowd.

Greg promised to look up and play my favourite ABBA Song - Me&I (Super Trooper - 79). Also, he said he would Google my name so he could see what looked like in 87. Finally, he suggested I come back on a Thursday Evening when they do Comedy a thing.

I said I might just do that. If they want me on stage - I would need a comfy chair. Simply because I am a Sit-Down Comic. Too lazy to stand up. Plus, I could bring my two friends - Heckle and Jeckle to help with audience participation.

I guess I will do an Arnie - meaning Aisle Bee Bak.

Cheers Pad

PS "Iampad" which Kylie almost got backwards in her latest song - PADAM... in which she tells me that she wants to see what's under my tshirt. ...

Not to sound harsh or like a broken record but really disappointing that my once loved venue has let such a large (and vocal!) homophobic scene. Heard it went a certain way since the renovations were complete a few years back. But it was only once I had experienced this for myself - homophobia and ignorance from a young group of patrons - more than 1 occasion too & in separate settings (Friday night dance & Sunday arvo casual drinks.) But tbh once I saw it & I believed what I heard - unfortunately the place, which was once considered one of ONLY 2 major gay venues here and safe place for our community, was not just like gay-ish ? Crowd was okay and friendly when there were drag performers on, at that exact time and no more… but yeah, the rest of the time it’s just become a bit like metros city v2.0 - young, naive and not apart of (or even allies) of the LGBTQIA Perth community. Don’t get me wrong because it is not a bad venue at tbh quite nice interiors and I like the design, when I walked through at first it looked really great! Unfortunately though, not as good as it once was. Would love to see this made into a redemption story...
