I never leave negative reviews, although I often end up with drinks or food that aren't great. But today's experience was very unsatisfactory. I ordered a cup of coffee and a matcha latte. The coffee was good, and the barista making my matcha latte was also nice. However, halfway ran out of milk and he went to open a new bottle of milk wanted to fill it up. Up to this point, I was satisfied. Suddenly, another person came over grabbed my cup and poured water into my matcha latte to fill it up, right in front of me. I found this completely unacceptable.    Read moreOffshoot is one of my favourite cafes to go to. I donât know a lot about coffee, having only gotten into it recently, and I have a lot of questions. Either theyâre very good at customer service and havenât let on that theyâre sick of me, or theyâre genuinely passionate about coffee knowledge. Perhaps both.
The lovely staff arenât the only reason I keep coming back, the coffee is incredible too. Their âLa Quebradita Sidraâ genuinely tastes like grape candy and might be some of the best coffee beans Iâve ever tried. And still, iâve never had a bad cup.
I attended one of their monthly cupping sessions and it was both super cool, and a great learning opportunity. I highly recommend them.

Very much enjoyed ourselves with the super informative team and hosts, John and Rummy. The coffee beans they had on offer are certainly âoffshootâ and more unusual to what most people may be used to, but that makes them interesting. It was a great experience to try coffee from all over, and the different coffee processing methods like thermal shock or carbonic maceration natural were ones Iâve never tried before.
