I've been holding off doing this for a while and if I could give 0 stars I would cause I haven't been into the restaurant or tried the food. On the 12th May '18 my partner and I visited arriving at 9:45pm and the restaurant was closed. Before we left we checked the opening hours online and they were 10:30pm. There were staff in the restaurant still and when we went towards the door (and it not opening) we tried to get the attention of the staff and were waved away. There was no sign on the door, no explanation for early closure. However, there were a couple actually sitting away from the restaurant eating their burgers. We knew this because they told us 'we just got ours like 10mins ago??' So of course we left. I thought I'll try and get in-touch with Huxtaburger and DM'd them. Of course they apologetic and asked for more information (confirm date and time). I provided them with that and on 14th May '18 got this message

So after me thanking them etc (it was a long message after having had multiple things go wrong back to back) I gave them my address details. I thought 'great, a business taking these things serious'. The ingredients were fresh, the whole burger seemed fresh. The bun itself was a lot nicer than at other places I've been to which have a bun which is way too soft and feels artificial. You could tell there was some level of effort/care put into making it. The chips were also really nice. Overall, the food was the best out of the burger joints I've been to. Speed: I ate during lunch-time, the restaurant had about 20 customers. My food came out ~8mins after I ordered which is much faster than a lot of the other places I've tried. It was the same for the few people who ordered just before me too, I saw that they got their food shortly after ordering. Lastly, the servers were very attentive. I saw them come out and look around the restaurant to see if anyone needed attention. Negatives: The only negative, I think, is that their chips are priced too highly. $4.5 for their "regular" serving of chips, which is a cup. Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday, I finally stopped by Huxtaburger after passing it a few times and giving in to curiosity. I ordered the Hangry Pack, which includes a main burger, either a cheeseburger or two chicken tenders, fries, and a drink.
Starting with the fries, they were excellent! Crisp on the outside, well-seasoned, and just the right amount of salt made them a highlight. The cheeseburger, though on the smaller side, felt like a nice addition to round out the meal.
For the main event, I chose the Theo burger, which came at a slight extra charge (clearly communicated at ordering, appreciated!). Unfortunately, the burger fell short. It had a watery quality, likely due to the lettuce and tomato, but the beef itself also seemed a bit diluted, which was disappointing. My friend ordered the chicken burger and rated it much higher, while another friend tried the Kevin and noticed the same watery taste, so it seems to be an issue with their beef burgers.
Overall, I'd rate the experience a 3.5 out of 5. The location is convenient with a nice view, and the price range felt fair. Thereās definitely potential here, and Iām open to revisiting it to see how...
