**Updated response: There was only 1 other person in the restaurant when we were dining there. Pictures available. Our kids were very occupied with cartoons and definitely not screaming as described by the owner. Looking at such response i have high doubt this restaurant can last long with such service and blatant lie upon receiving a negative review. Such attitude of response is not acceptable in a hospitality line of work. We visited this place on 7th May 2022 at 7.30pm

PS: Are you also saying that your restaurant doesn't accept kids who will tend to scream and cry? That doesn't address your food and quality of service imho**

Review: The hot ocha is probably the only thing worth coming here for.

We reserved our last night in Perth to have Japanese food. Picked this restaurant based on its high reviews. By now i can safely say the review is completely inaccurate.

This is by far the worst Japanese restaurant we ever tried. The eggplant hot dish we ordered looks like it was prepared by just drenching it with lots and lots of teriyaki sauce to the point it was disgustingly sweet. When we gave the feedback to the staff, she said she will help to scrape off the top layer and returned it to us without even passing the comment to the chef.

Then came the California maki rolls. I have tried cheap california rolls from sushi dollar shops but i have never tasted anything worse than what i put in my belly tonight. Their seaweed is soggy and soft when it arrived, the content all mushy and not done the way a basic california rolls should taste like. When we once again gave the feedback to the staff, she said this is how we prepare our food, without any single offer to even compensate for the second dish that's already at this point iny failing to meet the standard of a basic Japanese sushi restaurant.

We didn't finish our meals as it was purely disappointing.

Do yourself a favour to avoid this restaurant and not...

If I could I will give zero star.

Severely understaffed, expensive, and poor services. Besides, food tasted average.

My experience in this restaurant is horrible. I waited for more than an hour for Aburi and Nigiri sushi. Noticed that customers that came and ordered after me finished their food and left so I questioned if I could follow up with my order. One of the waitress told me that it takes a long time to prepare Nigiri sushi because they need to cut the fish, so I asked “50mins to prepare a sushi?” and the first waitress said yes. I was so speechless.

My partner then question another staff member and she said because they have a lot of customers. Note that I was the third customer in the restaurant of the evening. The second waitress then follow up and told me that the food is coming but have to cancel the Aburi sushi order if I am in a rush. Excuse me but 1 hour plus of wait does not mean I’m in a rush. I do not think that an hour is a reasonable wait time for Nigiri or Aburi sushi to be serve. I was already very annoyed by that point.

We finished up quickly and then went to pay for the dinner but noticed the bill were 1.5% extra because I wanted to used debit card. I questioned again “your notice says there is a surcharge for credit card, why are you charging me 1.5% surcharge for debit card payment?” the waitress told me it applies to all cards. We ended up paying in cash just to avoid the surcharge.

Bad experience, do not recommend, and will never return. Surprise to see the current rating of 4.4. Think you can get better Japanese food with better...

First time I visited this place I was gutted they had no wagyu beef, the amazing lady told me that she wasn't happy with the quality from the suppliers so didn't accept it. Oh well, I decided to try a few other dishes instead. The place was not busy as we were first in the doors at opening. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful lady. She sat us down and explained what the majority of the dishes were and recommended drinks that would compliment them. The wait for the food was just about right, I didnt know what to expect really so when it came out I was pleasantly suprised. After finishing the lady told me she may have more wagyu in on the Tuesday. So on rolls Tuesday and I come back on my own. She recognised me straight away and sat me down. I asked her about the grade of beef used, she asked the chef and told me it was A9 grade....for $75 this was a bit dubious but I wanted to try it. Arriving after 18:00 there were a few other guests but still the waiting time for my food was satisfactory. I have heard of the term 'foodgasm' before but never truly experienced it untill I had my first mouthful of the wagyu. WOW. Been raving about it to the rest of my ship mates, and I returned on Thursday for another helping....only to find out they are shut on a Thursday. So came back tonight (friday). Met by the same kind lady, seated amd served with all professionalism again. Wish I could stay in Australia a little longer just to come back.

Environment: walk up stairs, and go into the self-service hotel. Modern Japanese dinning setting. --- 7/10 Service: shortage of staff. Need to ring bell to call staff. Staff were polite, gentle and attentive. Waiting time for food was acceptable. --- 7/10 Food: average presentation, like home cook. Small portion. Over-priced for some dishes. A lot people ordered sashimi and eye fillet steak. It's better try their signature dishes for new comers. - Japanese Tea, $3.5pp: served very hot. The tea bag is larger than other restaurants. ~ Carpaccio, $16: 6 thick slices of sashimi fish with good quality in simple sauce. Garnish with a pepper slice for each piece only. --- 7/10 ~ Prawn Tempura, $27/6pcs: prawns were cooked just right. Batter wasn't thick. --- 7/10 ~ Spicy Creamy Crab, $26: too over-priced as not much crabmeat. A rip-off. Only creamy sauce. Taste was ok --- 3/10 ~ Spider Maki- Zushi, $20/6pcs: sounds reasonable, but maki- zushi was thinly cut- <1cm height. The sauce helped to hold the shape. Need to improve rolling technique. Only half of the soft-shell crab in the dish. Mushy rice --- 4/10 ~ Chocolate Fondant with Matcha Ice Cream, $14: it's a mud cake. Over-cooked. --- 5/10
