The cakes are truly wonderful. I’ve been coming here for years. However, my experience today was absolutely shocking. The closing time is 4pm. This is stated clearly on the official Boucla instagram site. I arrived with the family at 3.15pm. We were told the shop was closed as all cakes had been sold. We then pointed out the soufra left in the display stand. The counter lady then said we could take it away but no table service. Sorry Boucla staff, but clearly not everything was sold out. We said it’s only 3.15 pm and there are still 2 tables with other patrons here, at the very least we can sit outside with takeaway coffee cups for 20 min? They said no, as they are packing up the tables. They also said that the other patrons would be ‘moved on soon’. We left and when we drove past 10 min later the other patrons were still there. When confronted staff maintained that they closed at 3pm. Lie upon lie. The reality is that the staff just wanted to clear up and go home early. The biggest insult came from the manager on duty - ‘just give him a refund’ he said. I told him that I wasn’t there for a refund, just an apology and that my annoyance had nothing to do with money, it’s about respect and honesty. Just horrible from a person in the service industry. The food at Boucla is undeniably top shelf but this type of experience is...

I recently visited Boucla in Perth, and I have to say, it was such a great experience. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the welcoming vibe of the place. The atmosphere is laid-back and cozy, which makes it a perfect spot to relax, catch up with friends, or even get some work done.

The coffee at Boucla is definitely top-notch. I had their flat white, and it was seriously one of the best I've had in Perth—smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. They really know their coffee here. I also tried their almond croissant, and it was fresh, flaky, and just the right amount of sweet.

What I really appreciated was the friendly and attentive service. The staff seemed genuinely passionate about what they do, and it made a difference. You can tell they care about making the experience special for their customers.

Overall, I would highly recommend Boucla to anyone looking for a great café in Perth. Whether you’re a coffee connoisseur or just looking for a relaxed spot to hang out, it’s definitely worth checking out! I’ll definitely...

If you're going to allow someone to order something takeaway without a mask on (as you did), something premade that woukd take you 30 seconds to put in a paperbag and hand it to them, then don't insult them, after you take cash payment from them, by telling them to wait outside for it. Also no need to be defensive and rude when the customer asks to cancel their order because of it. I still gave you 4 stars, food is great, the place is beautiful, coffee is strong... but really, I'm safe enough to stand talking to you long enough to stand for 30 seconds to give you money but nit safe enough to stand for a few seconds more to collect my food ?

Perhaps you might consider customers can have valid reasons for not wearing masks.

I'll eat here again happily, but not while...

A very cute and cosy interior with walls beautifully decorated by mirrors, paintings and tapestries. The Mediterranean menu has a decent range spotting staple brunch items like bircher, French toast, avocado toast and a Mediteranean falafel salad. The avocado toast was delicious, one serving of toast topped generously with lots of avocado, feta and dukkah, perfect for someone like me who doesn’t want too much carbs. The falafel salad was however a bit more disappointing as no piece of cutlery could pierce the falafel and we had to use our hands. The turmeric latte and chai latte are decent. The food took a while and we finished our drinks by the time it was served. And even then, we had to ask for the cups to be taken away.

First time visiting Boucla. The good: I'd have to say the souffra is worth it. Visited on a late Sunday morning. The house was packed, these souffras were disappearing very quickly. Glad I got the last slice. Coffee was good, Turkish eggs were good. The bad: I realize business is busy, but I was sitting at a table with dirty dishes from the previous guests for most of the time. I essentially had to wait for my food to arrive, and even then only some of the old dishes were taken away. I had to ask twice for the previous guests' dishes to be cleared, and there wasn't any apology or acknowledgement from the waitstaff that this was an issue. In which world is this acceptable? Come on, you can do better than that!

I found this place after looking up a good place nearby that served a decent salad. This place did not disappoint! I was pleasantly impressed with the spanakopita (spinach and feta pie) served with the most delicious kale salad. The pie had the most amazing flaky pastry top along with the most tasty feta and spinach filling. The tomato sauce that came with was also just as flavourful. I have been back since and the food and service had been equally just as good as my first visit.
