We went there on a Tuesday afternoon around 1:30. Still got people dining, line up a little.
Waiting for food probably 20 minutes. We ordered beef massaman, pawpaw salad, pad see eew.
Pad see eew with tofu is average, The noodles are narrow in width and thick.
I would have prefered wider fresh rice noodles and less sweet.
Beef massaman tasted like beef cooked in water, then put beef in the massaman Curry. The beef itself is quite plain and lack of salt, the curry is more towards watery texture. The beef is not tearing apart status yet, it can be cook longer with the curry. I prefer massaman at Chang smile Thai in Buderim and Thai infusion in Maroochydore.
Pawpaw salad is a little weird, the pawpaw is very thickly shredded, normally it's thinner. It doesn't feel like the dressing is coated on the salad. I guess because the pawpaw is too thick that's why the dressing is not going into the pawpaw. There were two chicken skewers, they are nightlight of the meal. Very nicely sealed. It's probably my favourite.
They do charged 50 cents for a takeaway container. It's 20 cents in Brisbane generally. A lot of restaurants don't charge takeaway container on sunshine coast.
Overall, my friend and both think it's ok. Food is fresh and hot, the service is friendly and quick.
If I am nearby, I will return just to get a...
Read morei walked into the store and there was already another customer there. waited in line patiently. when it was my turn, she asked me what i wanted & as i was answering, cut me off to talk to that customer again. it felt obviously passive-aggressive. after i’d ordered she just left me standing there, so i awkwardly had to leave the store and come back in to ask about the payment.
i can’t believe i even have to write this. only about five minutes later i was sitting in my car, in the middle of editing footage & the same woman came up and opened my car door without warning to hand me my food, no consent, just opened it. that’s violating and invasive.
all my stuff including personal items and acting props i’d just taken out to reorganise spilled out onto the ground, which was humiliating. she didn’t even apologise in a meaningful way. when i went inside to calmly ask for a refund or some accountability, i was told “give the food back” if i wanted one. absolutely no care for the impact of what she did.
this isn’t hospitality. it’s boundary-breaking behaviour masked as “politeness.” i left feeling disrespected, embarrassed & totally rattled. i won’t be back and others should know what kind of experience they...
Read moreMy spur-of-the-moment decision to try this little place for takeaway after a late Doctor's appointment was very well rewarded. Not cooking much atm, but wary of spending too much on a meal I find that I can't eat - tonight I have eaten better than over the past several days :) Initially put off slightly by a less than effusive lady (maybe busy in the kitchen), although she did genuinely listen to my menu needs, & give me some great ideas. Very quickly another lady took over my ordering, & was absolutely outstanding in her friendly, bubbly personality, customer service & menu advice. I was given an accurate 10 minutes (just enough time to duck off to the chemist briefly), my meal was ready, got home & finished eating within an hour of ordering. Highly recommend the current special of honey prawns (good size serve) - but the seafood pad thai was fabulous as well. Only slight disappointment was the two free spring rolls were the tiniest spring rolls I've ever seen! All's good - off for some leftovers, so won't...
