TERRIBLE SERVICE

-Eggs overcooked tomato not cooked bacon could of been cooked longer. -Bacon and avo served with the pancakes that was not ordered. tried to give our breakfast burger to the wrong table then took it back inside to sit around on the bench for 5/10 mins before bring it to our table. missed my meal altogether even though when ordering the girl read it back to us. Said something when it didn't come with the rest of the food sat and waited ages so we went and asked what was happening said it was coming waited longer then a young guy come out and said they would refund that meal would of been nice to be told that sooner seeing as it had been hour since we ordered and everyone at my table had finished their food. Asked at the counter why and was told to much on the hot plate no apology. Ended up going across the rd and got subway far better service. Then walking back past we could see the young guy who was cooking eating a burger himself so he has time to cook his own food but not a paying customer not to mention how unhygienic that is. We really wanted to eat here. I picked the cafe after reading Google reviews. As it was my daughter's 12th birthday, she decided she wanted food from elsewhere. We assumed we could all sit together, as we were going to order breakfast and drinks at the cafe. In the midst of ordering, we were informed they didn't accept outside food. Of course they have every right to have such a policy. What we didn't know at that point, was someone, we assume a staff member, had spoken rudely with my children and upset my daughter. I work in customer service myself and know that sometimes you can come up with creative suggestions. They could have suggested we order takeaway instead and eat by the beach. I loved this cafe the first time I ate here, which is the reason why I brought my friends the second time. I got the Big Brekkie again as I thought it was so kind of (who I assumed was the owner), to give me half an avocado to replace the tomato and bread i did not want. Free of charge!

I asked for this the other day and he looked at me like I was crazy and was incredibly rude, told me that a slice of bread costs 20cents.

I really didn't want to argue the issue so I said look its fine, just don't give me anything extra and I'll pay the same price even though I won't be having tomato or bread.

I have worked in customer service for many years and its the little things that count and that I remember. I won't be going back to Caloundra Cafe to be treated like an idiot or ask for the same request I was...
