Read moreGot there, and there was a table outside taken by 2 guys, and 2 tables inside taken by about 6 people. Not too busy. When I asked for glutten free bread option, the guy behind the counter was helpful to indicate that they had glutten free bread, which was great. We decided to stay for eggs Benedict, and a simple Bobby's egg omelette with a ginger and apple fresh juice. 15 minutes later the juice arrived we thought, ok, 15 mins for a drink. The rest must come soon. The table with the two guys got served, they are it and left. One of the tables inside had also finished and left. 3 or so take aways arrived and left. At nearly 30 mins mark, eggs Benedict arrived. No apologies, no excuses, just planted it on the table. My simple omelette was still missing. 5 minutes later I went inside and I asked for my omelette, all I got was..."it's coming now". I sat down and heard the eggs being beatten. Another 5 minutes later I got my omelette. No apologies, no excuses, they did not even brought out a glass of water!. It took about 45 minutes to get a simple beaten omelette with a piece of toast. I get that at times things can be forgotten. But there is such a thing as manners. Offer a fresh bottle of tap water at least. Approach the table and do as if you are cleaning the table and establish a chat and mention that's coming or something.... ANYTHING! But no. Nothing. You get 2 stars because the food was not great, but was not bad. The rest...
Read moreGreat little cafe, small friendly, warm, local vibe. Solid selection of meals from healthy salads to burgers to breakfasts and lots in between. They cater to gluten free, vegan and vegetarian folks with varied options (different milk types, gf bread etc) and a willingness to personalise things where possible. Thank you! Most pleasantly surprised and impressed by 3 key things: 1) pricing (insanely reasonable!) 2) fresh juices, smoothies, acai, coffees and means/ snacks served much later in the day than many surrounding cafes and 3) lovely warm and inviting staff who were now than accommodating with my strange requestsđ Located 5 minute walk from Redfern train station or a minute or so from the bus stops. Ample street parking in the area. Suburbs used to be filled to the brims with gorgeous little cafes like this, sadly many trendy, very pricey, limited menu option cafes have moved into the area. It was lovely to come across this gem....
