Eatz on Abercrombie St. formerly known as Tripods. It is indeed a wonderful indoor and alfresco dining experience, classically serving their own unique special creation of coffee and light refreshments. Serving a brilliant range of breakfasts, morning coffee breaks, followed by scrumptious lunches and served by eager customer service employees who's ability for customer service is second-to-none.
I have the fortunate opportunity of attending Eatz on Abercrombie every Sunday morning at 8 a.m. when they open right on the dot punctual as the Japanese bullet train.
The atmosphere is endearing as evidenced by the three distinctive separate areas in which you have the opportunity to choose one of the three distinctive areas to enjoy your coffee and dining experience. The main areas consist of the indoor dining area, a beautiful alfresco area in the front and a wonderful hidden surprise garden at the back with plenty of cover and full of wonderful surprises
For myself and my friend Dorothy, ( who first shared with me this wonderful cafe, which Dorothy had been attending weekly for at least 15 years). Dorothy invited me to experience this wonderful serendipity for myself personally. Suffice to say I was so impressed thatwe attend every Sunday morning as the coffee is out of this world, where the barristers professionally create and serve the wonderful mix of coffee which to this day still remains a hidden Trade Secret still to this very day. The team certainly create and serve a wonderful cup of Glorious Liquid Gold that certainly gets a hearts starting for the rest of the day.
The staff you could really call friends as they know their customers by name and that is classic and indeed part of the experience. Nadi, James, ,Mat, Pam and the rest of the Eatz family, for their success lays within their teamwork paradigm.
T.E.A.M. AS AN ANACHRONISM STANDS FOR TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE, THIS IS CERTAINLY EVIDENCE BY THE SMILES AND THE ATMOSPHERE THAT THE STAFF CREATE, WELL DONE EATZ CAFE!!!
Customer service second-to-none and when the staff and owner operators call you by name you know that you're going to come back again and again because the service is second to none. A great meeting place, a great venue atmosphere Galore. However, in the end analysis, there are two major components that allows Eatz to stand out from the rest and that is the customer service and indeed the exotic and wonderful coffee and food where you're treated like family, particularly when you are call by name.
One one only has to enter though the doors to experiencethis culinary Delights and wonderful customer service. Don't take my word for it, but rather experience it for yourself and you will be delighted. Just the wee note to all the...
Read moreI normally come here to get a coffee, their house made pumpkin/tumeric bread & big breakfast, all of which are great tasting & generally good service.
However, today was a completely different story.
My partner & I came at around 12:40pm, ordered coffees, the big breakfast & pumpkin bread. The waitress who served us took our order & seemed sure enough that our order went through just fine. Wrong!
If it hadn't been for me checking in twice with the waitress in the 1 hour we were waiting for our food, it would not have arrived. The first time I had asked the waitress for our food, which was after 30 mins btw, she assured me & said the 'food was on the way' without checking with her team or anything, and also had the nerve to ask me 'if I was in a rush?' to which I responded, 'no, but the people who in came much later than us had their food arrive first'.
The second time I had asked a male staff at front where our food was after almost 1 hour of waiting (1:30pm to be exact), to which he responded 'the food had not come through to the system'.
Fortunately our coffees had came through the system & arrived on time initially, so I just paid for our coffees with much disappointment & left the premise.
To whomever that waitress was today, I sure hope you learn from your mistakes & receive the necessary feedback from your team to do better. As someone who's been in the hospo industry for years, that level of service & ignorance towards your job...
Read moreI first want to point out that when i walked into this cafe i was misgendered by one of the workers here as they were walking past me. After we ordered we sat down so we could be out of the way to the general public to which we were rudely asked to sit outside when there was near to no one sitting in the cafe. Then my friend went to go and ask for a napkin for my other friend to which the worker replied with “it’s not ready” they didn’t even ask for their coffee? Once my coffee was ready i walked to the counter to grab my coffee to the worker then said “oh and here’s food for your friends” in a rude tone. I then tried my coffee and noticed it needed sugar so i walked back inside and asked to then get a very rude response with “look man. theres no coffee here i cant do anything about that now, you should’ve asked when you ordered” which when I ordered my coffee didn’t think it needed sugar? straight after he said “oh and can you take these drinks out whilst your there” I understand that there may be some people but it was not that busy it is not my job to deliver drinks. Working in customer service I understand times under pressure can be stressful but even then I would never treat my customers with such disrespect, especially when WE are SUPPORTING your small...
