We ate at this restaurant for over 20 years. Our favorite dishes are Singaporean noodle, beef or chicken chow mein & beef stir fried rice noodle. The noodles here were always nice, decent serving & not too salty & seasoned well. We don't live locally & will always make an effort to eat at this restaurant regularly as we like the food & the friendly service we received from the older waitresses. Today (8/4/24) we were in the area & made an effort to dine there for lunch. We ordered two of our favourite dishes, Singaporean noodle & beef chow mein. When the dishes arrived we noticed that it didnt look the same. The Singaporean noodle was wet & soggy. Instead of its signature curry flavour & yellow coloured noodles it was brown & didn't taste right. I asked the manager if there is a new chef & She said "yes". We told her that it doesnt tastes same. She replied " I will let the boss Know". The second dish & the serving was smaller than usual. The egg noodle wasn't crunchy , some of the pieces of beef wasn't cooked through properly (still raw) it was warm not hot & tasteless. We call the manager over & show it to her. She took it back to the kitchen. I thought they would cook me a new one. But instead they just re heated the same dish. This time round the noodle was totally soggy & soft not crunchy at all. We decided not to eat it as we were not sure whether the meat was cooked at the appropriate temperature. We paid for both dishes and left. We were very dissappointed with poor response from the manager. She did not apologise and not very receptive of our feedback. It is ashame that this happened to a restaurant that we like & support over the years. Today we also noticed that the dishes we order had an increase of $2 per dish. The price increase doesn't match the quality of the dishes. Management's should get their act together to improve the quality of the food and provide customer with value for money. There are many competitors in the area if this continue they will loose a lot of...
Read moreIt's bit shame to even give one star. The WORST Chinese restaurant I've ever had in my life. Especially Salt and Pepper Noodle Soup is terrible.Although the staff said that it is the popular food. The texture of eggnoodle was things like you can buy it in a reject shop or at a corner of vegetable shops with a reduced price. So soggy, hard, and smelly noodle. Compared to the amount of eggnoodle, the soup was too little that I thought I was eating fried noodle; the rate of amounts of eggnoodle and the soup is 9.99:0.01 I've asked for the receipt and she said the price out loud in Chinese. Although I told her to speak in English. The thing is, she got mad and just gave me the receipt saying that "ONLY have a look but u CANNOT take it". So I had to glance it really quickly as she just snatched it so bad. I wish they can respect customers. Like making them practice. Or it will be worse if the person who said the receipt out loud is not a staff you know, haha. Anyway hope you will make sure that those two women in particular (one is working at the counter and another one is serving food) treat you well hopefully. Though I'm not going...
Read moreRude staff. We came to this restaurant tonight, and just as we were about to call a staff member to order, the server next to us was chatting with guests at the neighboring table, gossiping about personal matters. Another staff member reminded her to come over, but she didn't stop talking and continued her conversation. After finishing, she ignored us and went straight to the back kitchen. Having been in Sydney for many years, this is the first time I've encountered such a situation. It's truly shocking. In the end, we were very upset and chose to leave the restaurant. Here's a piece of advice for the management: if your staff don't want to serve customers, let them stay at home. Don't let such people ruin your business. Finally, a tip for others: if you don't want to be ignored, avoid the short-haired staff member, as she will make you feel like coming to this restaurant...
