This resturant is the most above average italian resturant in Sydney (in a good way), its got the pizza 🍕 pasta 🍝 and everything else an italian resturant would have, but I can only speak for the pizza cause thats what we all ordered. In terms of food, very solid wood oven pizzas very traditional and they really load up the pizza with toppings, perfect for the fat lil cousin who always gets hangry every 2 hours, though still had to go to the subway 200 meters away and get him 2 choc chip cookies 🍪 to helo him wash down the entire pizza he just ate. For the average man its enough to really fill you up. Only reason they dont get 5 ⭐️s for food is because the crust was a lil too thick for italian pizza which some people like but me personally, im more used to a thin crust like on a manoosh 🤤. Service was great, were able to get us a table for 10 at peak time in darling harbour and staff work quickly to get our food and even sang happy birthday for our table, happily took a picture of us and were really kind regardless of how busy it was so they really do deserve the 5 ⭐️. HOWEVER, ill blame it on the fact it was busy this time, but they could have given us more water refills considering how thiccc the bread was on the pizza almost had to dip it in the glass to get it soggy💧enough to consume. Atmosphere, cant go wrong with darling harbour view and fireworks 🎇 going on outside with jazzy classical italian songs and the bar and kitchen right behind you, this review is getting too long to explain so just look at the pictures. Overall great very decent and pricing was very good and competitive CONSIDERING, other resturants around sydney and the service food and atmosphere youre getting highly recommened for anyone who happen to be around the city

TDLR: Fantastic flavours, delightful ambiencee, outdoor seating is a must and booking ahead recommended. My culinary adventure led me to the Italian gem, and it did not disappoint. The star of the evening was the 4 Formaggi wood fire pizza, and let me tell you, it was an olfactory masterpiece, exuding the tantalizing aroma of strong blue cheese that had me at first sniff. The taste? Oh, it was nothing short of awesome, earning a solid 8 out of 10 on the pizza scale. Although, I couldn't help but imagine how some grilled mushrooms could have taken it to even greater heights. Next up was the Passionfruit Cheesecake slice, a visual masterpiece that earned a solid 8 out of 10 for presentation. However, the flavour, while undeniably delightful, fell short of my expected intensity, resulting in a 6.5 rating. Those quirky coconut balls, though, added an exciting textural twist. An all-around great experience with friendly, helpful staff. Booking ahead is a must due to the busy atmosphere and limited seating.

The restaurant has nice food and a fantastic vibe. However, when we visited on Saturday night, July 13th, arriving at 6 pm, we encountered some issues. The lady at the counter was friendly and welcomed us warmly. Once seated, we noticed a few unoccupied tables with a nicer view and asked a young lady staff member if we could move. She politely said she needed to ask. A couple of minutes later, a male staff member in a grey shirt, whom we found out was a supervisor, approached us rudely. He told us we couldn’t change tables because we were only three people, and those tables required four. He also mentioned that the tables had been booked two weeks in advance. While we understood the reservation policy, his attitude was awful. Additionally, he could have simply stated the table was booked instead of focusing on the number of people. So, we kept our seats and enjoyed our food. An hour later, we noticed a table with only two people. We assumed more people might join them, but when we left at 8:30, the table still had only two occupants. The last straw was when an Indian customer insisted on changing to that same table. Since we were seated nearby, we overheard the entire conversation. After persisting for about 10 to 15 minutes, he eventually got the table by sheer insistence. We reported the situation to a manager and described the whole situation. He informed us that the tables with a nicer view don't actually require four people. However, the specific table we requested was indeed booked, and the people didn't show up on time, which was supposed to be 8 pm. By the time we left around 8:30, that table was still empty. Well, we arrived at 6 pm. To sum up, the food is nice, but I hope the service improves and the staff training includes better attitudes.

**Tourists Beware: Casa Ristorante Italiana, Sydney** I had a really disappointing experience at Casa Ristorante Italiana in Sydney. The place might look nice, but the service is absolutely terrible. From the get-go, our server was rude. No "hi" or "welcome"—just straight to asking if tap water was okay and if we were ready to order. Not a great start. We ordered a bottle of wine, and after thirty minutes, still no wine. It took forty minutes to get one bottle of wine with two glasses, and when it finally arrived, it was only five minutes before our food came out. How does an Italian restaurant mess that up? If one thing my Italian family loves and cherishes it’s wine! To make matters worse, the heaters turned off mid-service, and the staff couldn't fix it. The restaurant was crowded, and it was clear that many other tables were just as unhappy as we were. The whole place had a frustrated vibe. The food itself was lukewarm at best (I even asked my husband if my pizza was cooked thoroughly) and definitely not worth the price or the time we spent waiting. Checking out felt more like herding cattle than a personalized experience. No matter how "pretty" the place looks, the service is horrendous. If it takes forty minutes to get a bottle of wine and the heaters don't work, it shows they don't care about their customers at all. Save yourself the trouble and skip Casa Ristorante Italiana. There are plenty of better places in Sydney where you'll get treated right. This place isn't worth your time or money.

Only go there if you wanna be chased by the manager. Story time- We went out with friends on Friday evening to enjoy Italian food and ended up at the restaurant. We reached there around 8:50pm ordered food and drinks around 9:15 because we were informed about the kitchen closing time. Everything was perfect, the food was great, the staff were friendly and very accommodating. While paying the bill one of the staffs told us that there was some inside event between the staffs only so they are in a bit of hurry to do all the paperwork and dishes. We finished all the food but had drinks left and told him we will finish everything soon and leave to which the staff said you can still take your time enjoy your drink and stay till 10:30. But at 10pm, the manager came with a staff with a tray and said “Okay it’s time” in a rude way without explaining anything and wanted us to leave asap. Even the staff was very awkward with the way he was dealing with the situation. Had he told us in a very polite way we would have understood everything and made it easier for the staff as well. But it was very rude and all of us felt very disrespected. We had to leave those expensive drinks behind and was very awkward and unpleasant experience at the end. It was a very bad end to the beautiful experience we were having at the restaurant.

I already have been to this restaurant years ago and I didn’t have a good experience. My friend booked here because he said it was the only one not fully booked in Darling Harbour on Saturday for dinner, guess why they had availability! Anyway I decided to give them another possibility, after years I thought I could have changed my review. Unfortunately this time was even worse! The service was terrible and they don’t have enough waiters. Even if we had a booking we were in line waiting and a woman behind us complained they had a booking too, threatening them to go to another place. They had free tables but no one was available to clean them, even if it was not busy, and no one was welcoming us. Food is not tasty and even if it should be an Italian restaurant, the combination of the ingredients in their dishes are not Italians at all and the pizza chef is Asian. Nothing wrong with that, but at least don’t promote your place as an Italian restaurant! Anyway this is my old review, unfortunately it didn’t improve: “It's not Italian food! Carbonara was like pasta with butter and ham, with a lot of garlic which made me vomit in the night!”
