"Bad communication"
Today me and my family thought we should visit El jannah today for the first time for lunch . I ordered our meals and drinks and paid for the meal. The first meal to arrive was the half a chicken and chips meal, straight away I noticed the chips were covered in chicken salt, and I said to the server, who brought us our meal, "I did not ask for chicken salt" his reply was "it comes on every thing" I said to him but I wasn't asked if I want it or not, he said sorry he couldn't do anything about it. Then I went to speak with the lady who served me, and she was like what you don't know it is standard here, I said where does it say on the menu that chicken salt will be put on my chips? She said she can't re make them I will have to order them again, so reluctantly I did and paid for a side of chips, because I couldn't eat the ones covered in chicken salt.
Then the ej platter arrived and the chips on that plate too were covered in chicken salt, omg. I told them a second time I do not want chicken salt on my chips, then the additional chips I ordered arrived with no chicken salt, third time lucky. I don't understand why they expect everyone wants chicken salt on their chips.
I personally do not like the taste of chicken salt nor do I like what is put in it. Most children should not be eating it as it may contain MSG. According to the food authority Australia, Google and Wikipedia...
"Seasoned salt is a blend of table salt, herbs, spices, other flavourings, and sometimes monosodium glutamate (MSG). It is sold in supermarkets and is commonly used in fish and chip shops and other take-away food shops."
So I should not be forced to eat something that could potentially be bad for my health and my kids growing bodies. I think it's disgusting they don't inform you that they will be putting it on your food the fact they don't give you a option and then when you tell them you can't eat it they make you spend more money, because it's your fault you didn't know.
Appart from that bad experience, the chicken was cooked well the skewers and dips were nice, but the fatoush was a real let down, just full of ice berg lettuce, I wouldn't call that a fatoush.

Read moreLook, I know that you're always under staffed, but do you honestly think it's okay to completely ignore customers waiting in line while you proceed to complete unnecessary tasks that can wait such as stacking the fridge with cans, or sweeping the floor, while there are 10 people waiting in line to be served? One thing this store needs to learn is PRIORITIES and SERVICE. There is a young guy with a British accent who does this constantly as though he enjoys keeping people waiting, then there is no apology or care from him whatsoever when he finally makes his way over to the counter with a blank look on his face.
The team at Penrith are constantly putting everything else possible before attending to the customers in the store. Your online orders are a mess. Why do you not have all of the online orders laid out near the front with receipts on them, like for example at mcdonalds where people can walk up and collect. Instead, you have them tucked away in the corner where nobody can see them. The other day, I waited 45 minutes in the store to get any attention whatsoever. It turned out my order was sitting in the corner the entire time with no possible way for me to see it or grab it. This is RIDICULOUS guys. Just put the online orders at the front when they're ready with Receipts. Or have a screen with orders ready and someone SERVING at a second counter for online orders. It's not that hard. And, serve customers before filling a fridge or sweeping the floor. It's totally rude and disrespectful. Also, read your dockets properly because 9/10 times I have been there I have received the wrong sauce or no bread with my order. Total inattention at this place and no care whatsoever. Read moreNever order El Jannah on their website online. I ordered and was utterly disappointed with order being delivered after 1hr 20mins. Tried countless times to reach their customer service and also branch. No one picked up. on tracking it could be seen as soon as order was ready delivery man picked it up but only after that much delay. This in itself is beyond horrible service.
It all gets worse and appalling when the order was eventually delivered. It had regular chips and not large (as was upgraded) and also drink can was missing plus chips and shwarma was cold as. Had cross checked this with delivery man right away too and he showed the sealed bag which I had opened so can't even be that it was left with him or taken out. Again, tried reaching out to customer service, was on wait for 30+ mins on auto answering without any response, and dropped it after being frustrated. Waiting for email response and resolution on getting this resolved asap. This is stealing people's money through delivery with your website and not delivering items as charged and late without any apology or even compensation. Looking forward to some action on this. My Order ID was A06ED, i need an answer to all of this.
Am sure reports to fair trade will soon be piling up against your dismayed, disappointed, and a rip off of a service if you dont fix such terrible service.
