We’ve been here several times before but last Saturday nights will definitely be our last time. We had a table booked for 4 ladies having a Christmas catch-up, for 7pm. There were half a dozen other tables and we could hear each others conversations because the restaurant was so quiet with no background music. There was no atmosphere at all - the waitress said she didn’t know how to turn it on. The food was nice and we had brought 2 bottles of wine to share between the 4 of us. At 8.40 pm the young waitress approached us and told us the restaurant was closing. NOT the kitchen, but the whole restaurant. Our dinner dishes had just been cleared and we were chatting, sipping our wine. There was no offer of “would you like any dessert” or “can I get you anything else before we close?” Just informed us they were closing. 10 minutes later she returned to us and the other table in the restaurant, to tell us it was time for us to go! We went to pay and saw the older lady was standing behind the bar, with her handbag on her shoulder already! We got tossed out onto the street at 8:40 pm on a Saturday night!! They didn’t even let us finish our bottles of wine or offer us the dessert menu! Next time we’re going to try another Indian restaurant that will allow us to finish a bottle of wine and have dessert past 8:40 pm on a...
Read moreBollywood night ...on booking a table told $45 a head payable on booking only.OK having been a regular customer paid and really looking forward to our Valentine night out told to be there no later than 6.30pm. Arrived on time got served our drinks waited place filling up served one cold popadom each at 7pm. Starter arrived at 7.30pm Belly dancer came on 3 dances lovely .At 8.30 pm we then could help our selfs to the choice of 4 main dishes and accompaniments.Food lovely as always but sorry the wait was not worth it. Waited 45 min just for a coke despite trying to catch the attention of the lovely Indian waitress who just chose to ignore us and serve 3 other younger people instead! The staff felt rushed but for no reason with an hour between serving each dish then help yourself. They also need to learn English. So as a regular listening to other customers and one with a 7 yr old who kept saying how hungry she was and the staff ignored her ..a few poperdoms would have helped and not broke the bank .They lost a lot of customers instead of gaining more.Sad as we have introduced many new customers to this restaurant we will not be...
Read moreWe ordered some meals from Talking Tables last night from uber eats and it was horrible! Not only did they mess up the order by not including the samosas we ordered, and by giving us the wrong curry, their food was also terrible. For 6 curries, 5 naan breads and 4 sides (2 of which didn't even get included) it was $186. The food was incredibly overpriced for what we were given, and about 3-4 hours after eating, the curry came straight back up! I spent most of my night in the toilet depositing the less than adequate curry where it deserves. Unfortunately, we requested a refund for the samosas before we'd eaten, and now we can't even get a refund for the curries that ended up in the bin. This was meant to be an easy meal as we'd had a horrible couple of days with a family member passing away. We didn't want to cook, and figured we'd just order something... That was a horrible mistake! DO NOT GO HERE!! I chose this restaurant because it was the highest rated on uber eats, but it has to be by far one of the worst meals...
