I recently visited Fish & Chix, a restaurant known for its seafood dishes. Unfortunately, my experience was somewhat disappointing due to average food quality and an unpleasant interaction I witnessed between staff members.

The dishes we ordered were just average – the fish lacked the freshness I was expecting. To make matters worse, the ambiance and overall dining experience were negatively impacted by a situation involving the owner or a senior employee and a new staff member.

The senior staff member was visibly angry with the new employee, scolding her in front of customers and saying that if she couldn't do her job properly, she should just go home. This display of frustration and lack of professionalism was quite off-putting and detracted from any positive aspects of the meal.

In my opinion, it would have been much more appropriate for the senior employee to provide guidance and support to help the new employee learn and grow in her role, instead of resorting to a rude and condescending attitude. The restaurant's reputation and customer experience would greatly benefit from a more respectful and nurturing approach to staff training and development.

Overall, I found the food at Fish & Chix to be average, and the unpleasant staff interaction further diminished my experience. I hope that management addresses these issues to improve the quality of both the food and the dining environment for...

I went there around 230pm today I ordered a crumbed fish combo with extra 4 calamari rings. After waiting for 20 minutes for my food I went to ask where my food was and another customer sitting near the place came and said he got the wrong order. It was my food. The seller didn't even bother to apologise and took it from him and gave it to me. I told her it was missing my calamari rings and she said she gave it to him in another box. I told her we are too seperate customers and do not know eachother and she said oh I thought you were his wife. We did not order together or was sitting next to eachother in the food court. She continued to say me and his wife look the same and she got confused. I asked for a refund and she said no and jist went to cook new calamari rings for me. Another seller even came but did not apologise and made the other man pay for the calamari rings even though it wasn't his fault. When I said you should make him pay for your mistake she said "well he ate it". When she finally finished making my calamari rings she left it on the counter and that was it. I said I also ordered a coke and she gave it to me and then I reminded her to get me cutlery. Honestly worst customer service and clearly a little racist. I will not be...

With plenty of food options in the mall, it can be hard to choose where to eat at Fish & Chix seemed different, with its fish & seafood, I decided to give it a go, and I'm glad I did Quite many food options, that are clearly presented to make it easy I personally went for option 19, grilled mixed seafood platter (grilled fish fillet, king prawns, baby octopus, and Cajamar calamari rings, plus good chips and salad, to be chosen between seafood, Greek, garden & coleslaw), lemon, tartare sauce, and a drink (soda for an extra as I chose to) Food was served in a box to go so if you were planning to take away that's extra convenient Food was good, and in enough quantity too (see my pictures, and note that even though we don't see fries, there were there, under the fish and seafood) Lots of seatings (part of the food...

Fish & Chix at Castle Towers offers a variety of seafood and chicken dishes at budget-friendly prices. The grilled fish, priced reasonably at $5.39, is well-prepared and served with tasty chicken salt chips, making it a filling and economical choice. However, the Crumbed Fish burger is heavily laden with mayonnaise and lettuce, making it difficult to eat. While the crumbed fish is nice, the accoutrements are heavy and detract from the overall experience. Overall, Fish & Chix provides an okay dining experience, but it leaves much to be desired compared to Costi’s, located just a few steps away.
