This was literally the worst “Italian” food I have ever eaten. We booked here for a friends birthday and had the set menu, the “garlic” and “herb” pizza that came out as starters were burnt and dry, struggled to chew it and had no taste what so ever. A no frills pizza would have tasted better than this. The Greek salad (idk why Greek salad was served) was also terrible and witnessed a lady dishing these up swirling her hands around a bulk sized Kalamata olive jar with no gloves on and just shoving everything together. Another main dish was the “prawn” linguine, this was inedible as the prawns tasted like they had been frozen for 5 years. Also the Parmesan cheese was questionable, almost a mix of some shaved flakes and shelf bought Parmesan. The wait staff were extremely rude and it just wasn’t a pleasant experience at all. I will never be returning here.

The food is really good and the portions generous. We regularly order from this restaurant, especially since the beginning of the pandemic. But the last two times we ventured to eat at the restaurant, the noise level was insane. No one can hear anything so all the clients start screaming to manage a conversation. As the restaurant fills, it becomes debilitating. Shame because when they were at the other location across the road, it never got this bad. Maybe the concrete ceiling isn't helping? I'm including a screenshot of the noise level (phone app maybe a little inaccurate). WHS has a limit of 85 decibels at the workplace. I really feel for the staff. 😞

Very popular Italian restaurant in Cronulla offering a variety of dishes including a great range of pizzas 🍕 in-house and takeaway. Entrees with Bruschetta, a favourite on pizza crust, is very tasty, followed by a fabulous selection of main courses from pasta, veal, and seafood plates. Tuesday dinner was quite crowded with pizza and pasta specials, hence service was a little slow, nevertheless friendly. No liquour licence, so byo is necessary making for a reasonable nights dinner experience. Colino1861 recommended ✅️

We used to love this place. Used to. Tonight we received the worst treatment at the hands of the owner I've almost ever received as a parent with kids. Our son has a disability and had a meltdown when we entered for an early dinner. We tried to encourage him to calm down but that did not work. It could not have been 3-5 mins when the male owner charged over and told us to control our child.. "hey c'mon guys can't you handle this, I've got customers here". We were really disappointed in this guys attitude. He shamed us as parents for having a child who was throwing a tantrum. We gave him an earful and left.

I've been to so many other restaurants where kids who have a tough time get far better treatment from the owners. Even just the owner or a server walking over and asking if everything is ok and offering if there is anything they can do goes a really long way.

As a restauranter you would have thought this guy would have seen alot of different customers come and go, and have the foresight to think maybe this child has a disability and there could be more to the story. His staff were very embarrassed and all apologised to us on the way out the door. He on the other hand kept yelling back at my wife. We...

Horrible service! I visited il Gusto on Good Friday with a couple of friends, expecting a lovely night out. When we walked in we asked if we could sit at a table of 4 that was out of the doorway (not made up with place settings) to be redirected to a table right in the doorway, so we had people paying and picking up take away orders standing over us while we were eating. Turns out that the table we requested was where the staff sat to watch the television when not serving customers. We took our time choosing our food from the menu but had to ask twice for our order to be taken (we waited for staff to take our order for 20 minutes before waving them over as they didn't seem to want to come over to us.....too busy watching TV). When our food did arrive it was plonked on the table in the centre (we ordered a pizza dish, a pasta and a starter) with no "this is the ...dish" and no "enjoy your meal". Nothing. Our group went to a nearby coffee shop after our meal where we were greeted nicely, shown to a table, waited on efficiently and were brought our drinks quickly and with explanation and a smile. This coffee shop could teach il Gusto a lesson in...

I had dinner here and the overall service was okay or above average. However I ended up getting good poisoning from the chicken pesto pasta. The tase was fine but even thinking about it now i feel sick. I think the chicken was old because as i left my stomach was really upset and when i got home i threw up multiple times. Two or three times an hour. The table service was fine. The girls are really nice and they take your order at the table. the pasta that we had was similar to another pasta except it wasn’t pesto and they got our order mixed up. It took around 30 minutes 45 minutes to get out to our table and then it was the wrong one so we had to re-order the other one and we didn’t get a discount or anything. Probably won’t come back but it’s not a bad restaurant. We used to go to the same restaurant when they were on the other side of the road and there the pizza and everything was really good, so we went back but i guess we...
