Istanbul in Parra — Restaurant in Sydney

Dear Business Owner, I called on Saturday 15th April 2023 at 11.30am. I asked to make a booking for 6pm for 5 People.

I notified the one whom answered the booking is important and it was for iftar. They said hold on and a man took over the conversation.

I repeated what I wanted, I notified the man we will break our fast prior coming but have iftar there. He offered to take pre orders, and notified me that it's NRL night and it may take 20 minutes to make order, I said No thank you, and repeated that we will break our fast, then attend your Shop for iftar.

We arrived 6.08 PM.

Half of restaurant was empty, but scattered settings, I notified the staff we are here, they spoke to A man behind counter, he looked at us, while we stood in the door way of seating area, approx 2 metres away and stated, I cancelled your booking, its NRL, we busy, iftar is over.

Clearly he doesn't know anything about iftar, and that steps are taken prior open fasts and prior eating, However he addressed us So UNPROFESSIONALLY, DISRESPECTFUL.

We left disappointed, we drove 35 minutes to another location and had iftar at 6.40pm.

This will be passed around, plenty other businesses that deserve the revenue, clearly this business is chasing temporary success rather consistent success and lacking in common decency.
