Let me start by saying that stumbling upon LOAF in Cronulla was like finding a hidden gem in an area full of run of the mill cafes. This cute little café on the mains is a true Aussie charmer with the delightful bonus of the many boutique shops dotting the area. Dress for a cool rainy day as like most in this part of the world it’s a large open roller at the front. As an expat American in the land of Oz, I found the staff at LOAF to be happier than a kangaroo on a trampoline! (I know cheesy 😂😜but it fits) They were helpful and attentive. Gotta give 'em a big shout-out for making me feel right at home. The cafe is also dog friendly which is a huge tick. Solid coffee game with all the expectations met. Now, let's talk about the menu. Both the breakfast and lunch menus are chocked-full of mouthwatering options that'll have your taste buds dancing. The jaffle choices are really intriguing flavours, they make me feel like some serious culinary integrity leads this kitchen. And the vegetarian and vegan options? They're so abundant, LOAF has got you covered, no worries. The overall experience at LOAF is solid for brekkie but clearly the lunch menu is where it truly shines. I’ll be back for a thick bread sammie soon where I’m sure they will win my last star. Trust me, you won't be disappointed here!

Cute little cafe style dining. My group ordered 3 sandwiches, the schnitzel, beef and spicy chicken. The schnitzel and beef were pretty good! I couldn’t believe how tender that beef was. I would highly recommend that sandwich. The schnitzel sandwich was also quite delicious, as the chicken schnitzel was crispy on the outside and very moist and tender on the inside. The bread they use is quite large and something I wish I could use on my own lunch sandwiches! It was sooooo good! We tried the white and brown. Now for the not so great. The spicy chicken was quite dry and overloaded with spicy sauce that my wrapper was drenched in it. I wouldn’t order this again. Customer service was okay. They were quite busy, so this may be why the customer service was a little frazzled and quick to have you move along. Would I come back again? Yes. Would I recommend? Yes, 2 out of the 3 sandwiches were delicious. Had the third not been a let down, my rating would have been higher.

Loaf is a great place for a bite to eat in Cronulla. They are known for their great old-fashioned sandwiches and jaffles. The staff are friendly, and they prepared their sandwiches front-of-house in a clean environment. My favourite order is ‘the schnitty’ sandwich - lettuce, herbed mayo and chicken schnitzel. They use fresh thickly-cut brown or white bread which is delicious. Be prepared for a big fluffy sandwich! And they don’t skimp on the mayo which is a big plus. When you dine in they give you a cute little side of crinkle chips which is a nice touch. For the environmentally-conscious people out there, they wrap their takeaway in foil and are committed to reducing plastic which is great. They close earlier than other cafes in the area so not really a place for a lazy late lunch. Follow my full-time travels and food adventures on instagram @poppybling

I visited Loaf Cronulla this morning, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. This was my second time at the café, and I can’t recommend it. While the cashier was overly friendly, it felt very forced and unnatural. When calling me to pick up my mocha, both the cashier and the barista laughed at my name because they didn’t know how to pronounce it. Instead of asking me, they chose to make jokes about it, even though I was just a few meters away and could clearly hear them. My name is simple to pronounce (Aline, as in "ah-LEE-nee"), and there were hardly any other customers waiting, so they could have easily asked or used an order number instead. I also ordered a tuna sandwich, which tasted off and wasn’t fresh. It was carelessly packed for takeaway. I had to wait several minutes for it, and when I asked about my order, the staff member told me it wasn’t ready yet, even though it had been sitting there. No one called my name or let me know it was ready, despite me checking in. To sum up: mediocre coffee, rude and unprofessional service, and a poorly made sandwich. I won’t be...

Went to get food today they shut at 2:30 30 minutes early should put on ur website close 2:30 sometimes instead of 3. I understand low rating can affect small businesses but i gave ur food 5 stars and never said a bad word about the quality or taste of food as I do believe ur sandwiches are amazing so by saying that I disagree with ur statement about that the reason I gave 3 and not 4 was because I called up and asked what time u shut and u said 3 so after coming there u said u we’re closed but yet just served two people sandwiches who sat down about to eat them so I not sure if it was appliances or not as u just served two people but I will take ur word for it as I said I never said a bad word about ur food because I do think the sandwiches are amazing just the fact u shut early so people who drive out to nulla aren’t disappointed that u may shut early that’s all anyway I appreciate ur response and keep up the good work with the sandwiches just maybe don’t tell people u shut at 3 when they call at 2 and then ur starting to pack up by 2:30...
