I ordered catering for my daughter's birthday, the weather was quite up and down, so didn't want to order too early and then end up cancelling the catering/the party.
So, that's why I chose Soul Origin, it was definitely not my first choice for catering.
I selected Saturday, 9am-10am as the delivery time, so I had enough time to place on the tables before people arrived. On the day, I received a text message saying "12 minutes away via uber eats", which was strange as nowhere did it say catering would be sent that way. It wouldn't let me click anything and it didn't show up in my uber eats app. So, I thought okay, should hopefully still arrive.
Then when it said 2 minutes away, it flashed on my phone again and clicked the map to see the route they were going but it didn't show the order in the app, it was just this map outside the app and it showed an entirely different suburb then where we lived.
I immediately tried calling the driver and sent a message saying, where are you going, that's not where we live.
He said that's where he was going and he had to drop off there. I reiterated it wasn't our address and he refused to come to our address. I finally convinced him to come to our address by bribing him for some $ and I sent him the invoice showing the correct address.
When he got here I took a photo of his phone again, showing the wrong address, and tried calling Soul Origin, they didn't answer and they have not returned my voicemail, my call or email!
Had I not thought on my feet our party would've had 0 food all because of a sloppy person putting the wrong address on the app and then having 0 way to contact the catering wing of Soul Origin.
Horrendous customer service, if I could give 0 stars, I would.

Initially, I was inclined to overlook these shortcomings, attributing them to potential temporary factors such as a bad day. However, the situation has escalated to a point where the individual not only fails to exhibit basic courtesy, such as smiling, but also consistently delivers below standard customer service, as evidenced in the accompanying photo.
During my initial visit, I requested an iced coffee with soy milk and reduced vanilla powder. Regrettably, the staff member informed me that only two options were available: an iced latte or a blended ice coffee, despite my prior successful orders with customized specifications. Then, she informed the staff member preparing the ice blended coffee of the incorrect order, resulting in the need for the drinks to be remade three times. This occurred despite her having taken the order just moments prior.
On a subsequent visit, I purchased a breakfast sandwich priced at $7.90 and provided $10. The staff member returned only 10 cents, erroneously neglecting to provide the correct change. Upon alerting her to the error, she rectified the situation without displaying any semblance of a positive behaviour.
During another encounter, despite indicating my desired sandwich selection, the staff member retrieved the incorrect item. Upon attempting to interject, she continued her tasks unabated until redirected by another staff member. Throughout these interactions, there was a significant absence of both a smile and an apology.
It is my sincere hope that alternative staffing arrangements can be made to ensure a more satisfactory level of customer service. The lack of enthusiasm and professionalism exhibited by this staff member detracts from the establishment's ability to cultivate a welcoming atmosphere and deliver...
