Sushi Rei — Restaurant in Sydney

What an absolute hidden gem! We stumbled upon Sushi Rei in Penrith while walking near Westfield mall, and we’re so glad we decided to give it a try. From the moment we stepped in, we could feel the passion and pride this family-owned restaurant puts into their food.

The chef personally shared with us how he cooked the curry, and my boyfriend said it was honestly one of the best curries he has ever had. To make it even more memorable, the other chef kindly offered us complimentary wagyu bites — such a thoughtful and sweet gesture that really made us feel welcomed.

Every dish tasted fresh, authentic, and full of care. The prices are also very affordable, which makes the whole experience even better. This place truly deserves all the five stars.

Sadly, we’re only visiting Sydney, so we won’t get to enjoy Sushi Rei again soon… but if we lived here, we would be eating here every single day! Don’t miss this spot — highly...

My partner and I, with our 10 month old, visited on Saturday after being avid visitors of the prior restaurant. It was lovely to see the upgrades done to dining area, the atmosphere was fantastic. My partner had his usual chicken volcano, all he will ever eat, and he said it was the best one he has ever had! They were very accommodating and little one had baby naked avocado rolls that mostly ended up in his mouth, but was very happy with his lunch. I had the chili prawns which was one of the main reasons we came here previously and they did a great job of them even checking how I liked them to accommodate. The staff were amazing and greeted us when we walked in, cheerful and welcoming. The staff provided us free tasters during our meal and were very lovely. Now onto the food - what an amazing experience, everything we ate was fresh, bursting with flavour and filling.
