Wow, I have found my new favourite Indian store!

I understand from reading past reviews that there may have been a slump in quality/service. I dont know as I have never eaten here previously, but new brother and sister owners and the curries they make are really good quality with obvious spices but lovely flavour that is perfectly balanced.

Positive

The food taste was great. I had Bombay beef and house special lamb curry, $17.50.

The flavours were so good, and dishes were distinctly different from each other.

I should say that atmosphere stars are for the fact that it essentially a take away with a few tables but you wouldnt organise a party to come along.

I say this because I considered it as its restaurant quality!

Negative

As I loved the food, so much portions were not enough!! I think a little more rice on large serves is required as there really wasn't enough to soak up all the curry juices, and this is an inexpensive amendment to make.

I will return and try the Lamb house special and palak...

Since opening I have been a regular customer of this place. But the last time I got takeaway it was extremely disappointing. No taste what so ever in their meals I had bought 3 different meals and all 3 had the same taste. When I get 3 different meals I expect them to have their own individual tastes not taste the same. Once a restaurant starts not caring about their restaurant or how they cook their food its time for them to start loosing customers and eventually they will close. If they don't pick up their game and go back to cooking the right way with TASTE then that fate will eventually...

I got the lamb curry + chicken tikka masala large meal, paid $17 and ate at the restaurant.

Served with rudimentary utensils (paper plates and wooden cutlery)

But the flavours and the price absolutely makes up for it by many magnitudes!

I would recommend the lamb to anyone coming here, one of the tastiest spots I've eaten at in Marrickville, I'm surprised they aren't rated higher.
