Have only visited this restaurant a few times (specifically, on days where I forget Miyama is closed on Sundays). It has an extremely convenient location but servers were pretty eh (not the best not the worst). Specifically, the language barrier became quite apparent when I had an issue with my dish which had urine/ammonia-smelling pork. Definitely either the pig’s a male and pissed itself or the pork’s gone bad. I became frustrated and brought this up with my boyfriend openly and in front of the servers, kind of begging them to take the hint to approach me and rectify the situation. No response. Strange? I then approached them directly and told them about my issue but they were extremely dismissive and non-empathetic. Righteo… It took an embarrassingly long time for them to replace my meal for something else. Mind you, I did not eat my dish after taking a bite and wanted to be as unproblematic as possible but ended up feeling very guilty for not wanting to eat ammonia-pork. Price is also not the best for what you’re getting? Mind you I spent 20$ on the dish shown below (you can see the small side of pork with some sad carrots and a bowl of rice that didn’t even come with the meal itself). Shame. Wasted potential for such a great location.

We visited on a Thursday night with a group of 17 and had the entire second floor to ourselves. While the ambiance wasn’t the most impressive, it was spacious enough to accommodate us comfortably. The food was a pleasant surprise—starting with the classic fried rice, which was flavorful and delicious. The crispy pork had a satisfying crunch, though it appeared slightly darker than expected. The BBQ pork, unfortunately, was a bit too salty for our taste, but the chicken version was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The green curry was rich but lacks the spiciness, would be perfect for those who enjoy a strong coconut flavour tho. What truly stood out was the service. The staff were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to store a cake and even lending us a lighter to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Their kindness and attentiveness made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, if you’re looking for affordable and tasty Thai food, this is a great spot to consider. We’d definitely come back!

I recently tried the cashew nut tofu and coconut curry rice dishes at a Thai La-ong restaurant for lunch, and I was very impressed with both the quality and value of the meal. Both dishes were delicious. The tofu in the cashew nut dish was cooked perfectly and the cashews added a nice crunch. The coconut curry rice was also very tasty, with a creamy and slightly spicy sauce that paired well with the rice. The staff at the restaurant were always friendly and helpful, making for a pleasant dining experience. Additionally, the prices were very reasonable, with both dishes coming in at around $11 each (Thats generally their lunch offer) This made for a very economical lunch option, especially considering the high quality of the food. Overall, I would highly recommend these dishes for anyone looking for a tasty and affordable Thai lunch.

With 4 people we ordered the menu below. Each of us ordered a entree and main. The waitress came 4x back to check if the order was correct. When we got the entree it wasn’t was we ordered so we asked if they were sure it was for us. “Yes is was complimentary”. Then another waitress came to check our main dishes, “yes all 4 dishes were correct”. Then another lady came (after 20 min) to tell us that the menu is only for 3 people instead of for 4, so we would get 3 entrees and 3 mains to share between 4 people. We were very confused and tried to get to a solution but the lady was not helpful so we decided to leave and she wanted us to pay $60 for 5 drinks and 3 entrees (which was double price). We said we would not pay $60 but willing to pay less but they decided to call the COPS on us!!!! Completely crazy and not necessary as we tried to work it out but they defiantly are NOT customer friendly!! Very sad our day had to...
