I eat here very often, the service is great food is great... except at around 12 30 on the 17th of September, there was a new member in the cashier who in my opinion was not as fluent in understanding english as when I said my order and asked for a side of seaweed it took us 5 whole minutes to make her understand what it seaweed was and then later the food I get is completely different from what I ordered and when i asked for 3 ontama curry she had given me a set menu 3 or something. It is my fault for not looking at the bill but i didnt because i come here alot and the staff is really good and understand my order with ease plus the lady just jotted down my food order like she heard it right. Ruined my day and when I told them they wanted me to pay for the food I actually wanted with the other food. I had no time to argue so I just took the food( note i dont even know what they gave me and made me pay for ) and left. Very frustrated because the young lady that works there most of the time gives exceptional service and I enjoy eating here but this new cashier should honestly be...

Not bad at all! The don's are where this place shines in my opinion.

Miso soup goes without saying to warm you up. Good balance. Not too salty. Good flavor.

I highly recommend adding the poached egg. Mixing the runny egg with the rice is so good.

The chicken karrage are cooked perfectly, unfortunately it lacks seasoning (salt) and it would much nicer if a lemon wedge was served with all the chicken karrage as the acidity cuts through the fried texture to provide balance in flavour and texture such that it doesnt make the palate too oily.

I’ve been eating here for a couple of years now . Food is always fresh and usually the service is friendly and efficient. A while back it seemed to change management. The Manager is rude and dismissive . When I asked for a glass of water , I was told that they didn’t have any . I gently enquired whether that was possible or true and was told that I would have to buy it . The manager is very rude and grumpy always frowning . Maybe he’s in the wrong job. I’ll have to go elsewhere for my Ozeki fix where the manager is respectful . Don’t go to Burwood Westfield Ozeki unless you want to be...
