This is tough to rate as I compare this fish 🐟 and chip take away to others and I expected a lot from other reviews. Yes, the two serves of different F&C we nice with a good crispy crumb over smallish fish pieces but by the end of it I'd had enough of the crumb over small but tasty fish. Personally I don't like the French fries (thin) chips but there were plenty and the whole meal was sufficient and very well cooked. The place is impeccably clean and the staff very, very friendly. Would I go there again? No, not at $46 for two fish and chips despite them being a bit "special". Quality is 9/10, Service 9/10, Presentation 10/10, Value 5/10. A number of locals later told me the Stanley IGA Store does the best fish and chips in the district... didn't try them but worth a look!

I had a fantastic experience at this place! The Stanley fish and chips were absolutely delicious - perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. The overall taste of the food was top-notch. The cleanliness and tidiness of the place caught my attention, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. The customer service was excellent - the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure I felt well taken care of throughout my visit. Additionally, I was pleased to discover that they also sell fresh fish. I highly recommend this spot for a great meal and wonderful service.

Anyone that has visited Stanley would be aware how much pride there is in this town. Just look around and you can see how the town is looked after. The word pristine comes to mind. That pride extends to Stanley Seafoods. Their food is reasonably priced and it’s a delight to eat. We had Storm Bay Crumbed Sand Whiting and Sea Chowder- Smoked Wild Salmon. Couldn’t ask for better. The service? Excellent. The lady that accepted our order was very polite and obviously loves her role. Would we go again? 100%.

Very friendly staff. Food was okay (battered flake, chips, salad) but to be honest pretty average. Salad was 90% lettuce, some cherry tomato's, some red onion and a dressing. My bad as I didn't specify I was eating in but all the orders seem to be served in takeaway containers (fish/chips in a carboard box, salad in a plastic container) with plastic cutlery - whether people were dining in or not. Can't really judge because I didn't ask about how in house meals were served - but trying to cut up a slab of battered fish in thick batter in a carboard box sliding over a slippery table was a feat in itself. But again, meal was okay but...

Fish and Chips were just OK, quite oily but the serving was absolutely miniscule, just one tiny piece of fish. And considering the price that was very disappointing. We have had much much better value fish and chips on our trip around Tasmania. Just as a response to the owner’s response to my review. Disappointing to get a poor review and then claim that it must be fake because I reviewed another business highly. Yes I am a real person travelling around Tassie. Been here as a week so far and the meal we had at your business was the worst we have had. Do with that what you like but if you refuse to acknowledge...
