I'm gonna start by saying I'm a full blown pastry snob, so when I say these were incredible I mean it. The Portugese tart was such a delightful shock of how beautifully flaky and perfect it was. Kudos to the chef's for the time, love and care they clearly put into their craft. Their sourdough fruit loaf was also beautiful never thought I'd enjoy apricot and date so much in a loaf! Only complaint is I wanted more frangipane in that almond croissant 😂 but that is just personal preference. Definitely will visit again if we're ever back that way.

Amazing bread and pastries. Their sourdough is absolutely delicious, and wide range of pastry options are also super great. You'd be remiss to not drop in here if you're taking a trip to, or passing through Portland.

Amazing bread and pastries. Their sourdough is absolutely delicious, and wide range of pastry options are also super great. You'd be remiss to not drop in here if you're taking a trip to, or passing through Portland.

Lovely warm family who own and run this little bakery. Can I give this sourdough bakery 10 stars out of 5? we are addicted to this place and have gotten many of our friends addicted to these delicious delights also. Top notch quality and obviously made with a lot of love! we used to visit here at least once a week and sometimes twice! really. The mini pizza, the garlic twist bread, the croissants! all of it! SO SO AMAZING!!! make sure you check there hours and times on Insta! they sell out REAL QUICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do yourself a favour and get some of this good stuff into you! BTW if you are sensitive to gluten, because of the fermentation process I believe myself and my sensitive friends don't have any issues unless you eat like a whole loaf of bread at once but that's probably because you ate a whole loaf of bread...

We were travelling through Portland and on a whim stopped here to pick up breakfast. You can smell the delicious bread as you walk up and then you see it and you just want one of everything! Unfortunately we couldn't get everything and we can't stick around long enough to try something new everyday, but I had a spinach and feta breakfast pie and I cannot say how good it was. It was still warm and flaky and soft and delicious and I'll take a Baker's dozen please!y daughter had the bacon and egg pie with chilli bits and would also like more! Then there were the sweets! Flaky, but not so hard that your teeth regret it! I'm sorry there are no pictures, but we ate our food and then thought of it! Should we come back to Portland, The Bakehouse is definitely on...

Our family absolutely love The Bakehouse. As a Portland Local, we are so lucky to have such an amazing family run bakery. Where do I start…..

The staff are absolutely amazing, they are always happy to see you and ask you about your day. They believe that the kids should get started on the “good stuff” from a young age and always offer the children a piece of Sourdough bread.

The staff love showing you what is available and are always happy to help you find something that will hit the spot.

The bread and pastries are absolutely amazing and are on point every time. I have never had a bad experience at The Bakehouse and I love trying the huge variety of foods that they have on offer.
