Bagels & Beans — Restaurant in Western Australia

This morning we decided to go out for breakfast. Since we didn’t have a car we stayed around West Perth, not really expecting much, just hoping to find a decent little spot. By chance we ended up at Beans and Bagels, originally just thinking of grabbing a cappuccino and moving on. Then I spotted the menu at the counter and saw bagels, even gluten free, with bacon and egg for only 13 dollars. At that price we thought, why not give them a try.

And honestly, we were surprised, but in the best possible way. The bagels were absolutely packed, overflowing with ingredients, and served by the owner herself, who was not only kind but super chatty in the nicest way. She told us about all the effort she is putting into this place and it really shows.

So yes, five stars across the board. Excellent food, great coffee, and for the first time in my nine months living in Perth I actually found human prices. Trust me, in a city as expensive as Perth, that is no small thing. Huge compliments to the owner, keep going on this path of excellence and people will recognize...

first time I Went to buy a bagel and order a salamy balgel, chef understood salmon bagel, I saw him taking out the salmon of the bagel and puttin the salamy, leaving pieces of salmon in my bagel, terrible taste! what if I was allergic to fish and he could have killed me if i hadn’t seen him making the bagel. thanks God im a chef and like to pay attention in things like that. second time I went to buy just a Iced coffe, waited 20 minutes for a coffee and they had only one costumer before me. after asking for refund and being denied, he made me a hot mocha, not the iced mocha that I have asked. at least the coffee was good, even if it was wrong. but they should review their actions inside the kitchen and pay attention in costumer orders. and wasn’t even busy, just...

Beans & Bagels café (owners & staff members) are absolutely kind-hearted, real humans (in this often cold corporate reality), full of love, kindness and dedication.

Whatever one makes with love and real human effort, one will always be successful and show the way to others who are willing to learn about the power of good intention and the energy of love for what one does.
