Bob's Boutique Bar — Restaurant in Western Australia

Restaurant has changed since previous reviews. All food is written on blackboard (less options) and it is all to share. The waitress suggested 4 meals as they were very small. However the prices were expensive big meal prices. Hubby and I ordered one meal each and the waitress kept insisting we get more and we said no and mentioned price. She then said "get 3, what is the last meal you want?" So we got 3.

The meals were entree size which for almost $50 for a steak and 2 baby carrots it was disappointing. Waitress told hubby chef does medium rare (which he likes) but he said chefs tend to undercook it so ordered medium. She argued for a bit then said "you can trust chef" hubby stuck to his guns as he always orders steak. Lucky as the steak was almost rare, I couldn't eat much.

The meals came out one at a time and were just ok. Small, duck a little dry and pork belly quite fatty. Crackle was like shaved crackle from a packet which was disappointing and only a tiny amount.

Didnt get alcohol or the one dessert option they had and it was over $120. Not necessary to charge that for tiny plates. Left a bit hungry. Good thing was we could hear each other talk as restaurant was practically empty with 80s music playing. Wont be going back,...

Absolute pleasure to stay out. Shoutout to Jazmine, Emil, Gabriel and Giulia for always being super accommodating and friendly during my numerous visits to the establishment. They have a variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic options. They also have specials such as different wines of the month or Tuesday gin nights that let you sample their products at discounted cost. Their staff is also very familiar with what they’re selling you and can always be relied upon to give detailed accurate recommendations. The actual look of the bar is beautiful, it has wonderful ambience and is the ideal place to enjoy a calm drink while visiting Geraldton or to take a first date to. Their food is also pretty good. I tried just about everything on the menu and while I can say that most dishes are designed to be smaller sharing plates, they suffer no loss of quality as a result. Absolutely outstanding! Bob’s Boutique Bar has officially become our favourite place in town to eat. Every dish we ordered was cooked to absolute perfection—there wasn’t a single thing we didn’t enjoy. The crème brûlée was the best we’ve ever had, hands down. Normally we’re disappointed by steak when dining out since we grow our own, but this one was every bit as good as homegrown—perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The duck sauce was divine, and both the 30 Knots and Bee Sting cocktails were amazing.

The staff were professional, friendly, and had a great sense of timing—they read the room perfectly and even shared a laugh with us. It’s rare to find that balance of top-quality food and genuine service.
