A fine example of the worst service in Perth!
Initially I thought the people here were just poorly trained or incompetent but turn out they just donât care.
I was a resident at the Westin Hotel for a week, and the Haven consistently delivered no service.
I sat outside for 15 minutes, unattended, and walked in to order a beer, and asked if there was table service, and the staff said there was.
Anyway walked back to my table beer in hand, 30 minutes later beer finished, I sat enjoying the late afternoon sun, but no service for another 30 minutes.
A man popped his head around the door, I can only assume a âmanagerâ looked at me and my empty beer glass and just popped back in to his corner somewhere.
A couple from the hotel came to sit outside, asked for a menu that took 10 minutes to manifest itself with a waiter, and then the waiter did not return to take an order, they left after 30 minutes.
The waiter saw me and my empty glass as well and scampered away so quick I was unable to get her attention.
Itâs an astonishing display of contempt by the staff not just to the customers but also the workplace and its investors.
My partner had friends over for tea during our stay, the hot water and tea bags took 45 minutes to arrive, it baffles the mind!
It is equally a stunning indictment of the management teamâs utter lack of care and understanding of what service is.
You guys truly suck, you should be ashamed of yourselves, but since your standards are clearly so low you would not even understand shame as you clearly have none.

   Read moreVery disappointing. I booked the high tea 6 weeks in advance with the manager. Advised her that it was my 60th birthday and I was hosting a party of 18. I wanted it to be perfect. There was no prior communication with the Haven lounge my emails and calls unanswered. On the day the tables were not ready at 2pm staff were still wiping them down. My guest stood around whilst the staff hurriedly prepared the settings. All the champagne classes were half full! This was particularly noticed by all of us. Some coffee + tea orders never arrived had to retrieve staff to rectify this. There was a special order for a vegetarian serve a gluten free came out instead - that had to be rectified. Full cream latte served to a guest her ordered Almond milk due to allergies. No water refills I had to retrieve staff to bring water to the tables. Most of the guests only got one coffee or tea as there was no service. Once again I had to go to the bar to place orders. I voiced my concerns with the manager on the day he was very sympathic. I was just left feeling that the experience was nothing better than an afternoon at an up market Cafe. The food was delicious but the service and organization leading up to the day needs to be looked at. No worthy of a 4 star hotel. I have voiced my issues in writing to the Haven lounge and 2 weeks later there's been no explanation.    Read moreFor a 5-star hotel, the experience was quite disappointingâespecially considering the standard set by other high-end establishments like the Westin overseas. The restaurant where the high tea is served showed signs of neglect: bubbling wallpaper near the ceiling and dusty air conditioning vents were clearly visible. While the high tea selection looked visually appealing, the taste was underwhelming and didnât match the presentation. Ice water had already been placed on the table before our arrival, and either the glass or the water had an odd smell, which was off-putting. Service was notably lacking. After a pleasant initial explanation of the high tea format, we received our tea and food towerâbut then were left unattended for approximately 1.5 hours. Attempts to get a staff member's attention were ignored, even after one staff member made eye contact, chose to clean a table instead, and walked away. Only after prolonged effort of staring did someone finally return to take our next tea order by a new staff member who couldnât understand English very well At 1:15 PM, we were informed we needed to vacate the table by 1:30 PM to allow for setup for the next sitting at 2:30 PM. While they did offer an alternative seating area if we wished to stay longer, the timing felt rushed.
