This Business, had a sign on the cafe advertising for staff, after seeing this and applying , the owner asked The aplicant ( who was a past customer) too come in for a free trial, they agreed and did this, they were offered employment. They were called and asked too cover a extra shift ( presumably a disgruntled staff member quit) and agreed, however when they mentioned pay, the owner refused too say how much they would be paid and for how many hours, they asked if they would be getting the minimum wage, he replied with ' well see it depends on how I think you go' . This business owner is taking advantage of vaunerable people while there is a downturn in Perth's job market. This aplicant had five + years making coffee and even during the trial was told they did not fill the large glass too the top with milk for a long maciato, according to the owner coffee is different in Perth too the eastern states he said! I doubt it, I'm sure great coffee places know the difference between a long makiato or a latte if it be in Perth, Sydney or Rome? I certainly would not support such a con nor would I expect great service from the poor staff that are most likely being ripped off, if this person can not offer these staff the minimum if anything at all for pay? Do you really want too go there for a long Mac.. Oops latte , maybe flat white??? I don't think they know....its just milk...

Read moreWe understand we do not live in a polite world anymore, but for the sake of regulars who pop in at Polly's for a cup of coffee, it would be appreciated if staff are polite when serving at the counters. We understand Polly's staff are under pressure by the Management to serve customers quickly.
Recent visits to Polly's by our staff members found one of Polly's staff, a dark girl extremely rude and arrogant. Please speak polite...
