Went here for our wedding anniversary. Decided to have the chefs table to make it easier to enjoy the evening. Ordered some drinks and bread & entree arrived quickly. Very nice. Ordered a bottle of red which arrived promptly. For main, dishes arrived but after being told two sides were part of the chefs table only one arrived. Questioned waistress about whether we would get potato’s like the table next to us, and told “every table is different”. The table next to us was having the chefs table too and all dishes were the same, except they had two actual sides dishes, we just had baby carrots. Tables too close together and restaurant so noisy. there is no ambience. They ran out of plates so we ate our mains on tiny white plates. The dishes are plonked on the table, no explanation of the dishes. Soon after main a bowl of pebbles with four tiny chocolates was put in front of us. Two dessert spoons were also placed on our table. At this stage service was non existent so flagged someone down and ordered more wine, water was not topped up from when we first arrived. Wine arrived. An hour passed. We left. No dessert so no idea what dessert spoons were for. Noted the table next to us left after the chocolates and their dessert spoons also went unused. Staff walked past our table multiple times but generally busy serving other tables and large function. The latter explains lack of service, dinner plates etc. Over $300 spent and no desert not acceptable. Having to prompt when you signed up for a pre-determined menu not acceptable and very ackward as a customer. What a disappointment. The dishes we did receive were great, beef tartare was a winner as was pork. I’m sure full menu finishing on a nice dessert would have been great. We are local and will not return. You...

On arrival at the rooftop location the first impression is great!!! The venue is well appointed with a good balance of atmosphere and views. Tables are well spaced and although relatively full the acoustics worked well, with several large groups enjoying what seemed to be Christmas in July functions. (Night view is spectacular)
On arrival we ordered drinks and shared entree’s for our group of 6.. The drinks came relatively quickly but the food was extremely slow. After waiting for almost an hour for our first course (and several drinks later), the food arrived. Delicious! (Garlic bread, Octopus, Polenta & Calamari).
Main course’s took even longer and although delicious they were all COLD (obviously been sitting somewhere for some considerable time) and there were no accompanying side dishes with the main course. Sides arrived after we had finished meals!!!!
Chef & Kitchen staff were sadly let down by the front of house general wait-service. Wait being the operative word. Skill was awful. An amateurish effort. Our dining room shortcomings were acknowledged and compensated with a 25% discount. (Would rather have had a better experience)
Great VENUE. Excellent FOOD....
Read moreWow! I’ve only just discovered this amazing venue, a rooftop bar in Subiaco on top of the Vibe hotel. It was the perfect place for a reunion of old friends, where I caught up recently to have drinks and nibbles on a beautiful summer's night.
The place is very expansive! Whether you want to eat inside the restaurant or outside, or just catch up for a drink….this place has lots of space to move around and no matter where you go you won’t feel congested as tables are positioned with lots of distance in between.
From the ground floor you wouldn’t know there is a bar at the top (9th floor), as you enter through the hotel foyer. But once you walk out onto the bar you will be amazed instantly at the incredible view!!! This definitely has to be one of Perth’s best keep secrets! You can see the city, over to the hills and surrounding areas.
We had a couple of cocktails, bread and dips, and it was all Yummo! The service was friendly and attentive. And the other thing I liked was the quietness, it was very serene, though it still has a lovely atmosphere. There’s also easy parking at the door, also a quick walk from the train station if you need to. I love love love this place!!!! Can’t wait...
