Wont be going back.
My daughter and her friends had a school thing, after picking them up I took them for bubble tea.
So four drinks to consume in store and two take away for siblings at home, plus some pudding.
One of my daughter's friends hadn't tried bubble tea before, she just ordered original milk tea, however on trying it she thought it was too plain. I was drinking a brown sugar tea and thought she would like that better.
I went to the counter to ask if they could please put some brown sugar syrup into her plain tea. (I offered to pay for it - as I wasn't expecting it for free, I understood that it wasn't their fault she didn't like the flavour)
At first the server misunderstood me, checked with her manager then came and told me she couldn't add sago as its only for the brown sugar range, I corrected her and let her know I only wanted a bit of syrup to sweeten the plain tea and again let her know I would be happy to pay for it.
The manager came over and told me, no. I explained the situation again, and again offered to pay. I was told firmly, that there was no way to do this. No. Way. At. All. At this point I got annoyed explaining that she didnt like it and its a whole tea that would end up in the bin, what a waste that a little bit of syrup would fix. The manager shrugged her shoulders, I waved her off and just turned and left.
Considering I make my own bubble tea at home and know exactly how the syrup is made and how much it costs to make, and I was offering to pay what ever they needed(!) I very disappointed with this response.
No way to think outside the box and take care of your customer, considering the amount of money I had just spent in store, and that I was offering to pay more for the syrup, I think that this is actually pretty ridiculous.
I now had a little girl who hadn't had very much more than a few sips of her drink and was disappointed in her first bubble tea experience.
This is why its better to stick with the smaller family owned businesses and avoid franchises who don't care about anything except following the recipe.
Next time I will go to Boba Boba or Hi-Tea - those are two businesses I CAN recommend, who are always friendly and open to help their customers enjoy...
Read moreThis Utopia is a little bit better than the Northbridge one, but the only downside is that there is no adult entertainment anywhere near aside from a couple of pubs, and a movie cinema. So for the accessibility (Which the Perth one is lacking), the fact that its right there at the galleria and the morley bus station and the parking availability (which is also sorely lacking at the Perth Venue) I give this one 5/5 and the Northbridge Utopia a 3/5 which now that I think about it, you could probably average out to mean 4/5 for both, but both venues have their pros and cons, this one, I would think, would be great for kids parties because you could get them loaded up on sugary drinks, make them dance and sing and shout for an hour or so and then when they are tired of that take them over to the cinema and get them into a nice pg/m rated movie while mums and dads can sneak across the road to one of the pubs, or even Fast Eddies, and enjoy an adult beverage, with adult company, while the kids are off in...
Read moreI had the worst experience here. Please be careful, they don't give you what you order. Sago is free now thanks for 20 years anniversary and it says "FREE sago". I ordered "Lychee milk tea, free sago, less ice." The staff misunderstood and put 3 sago. I told her I just wanted free sago. They made new one for me. And I got "Standard ice Lychee milk tea." I asked that I didn't need ice that much. I ordered less ice. They made new one again. And now I got no ice (but it's not full, they jut removed ice from it and gave it to me). I'm tired of asking again and again and decided to drink the one without ice. I'm not happy with the result at all.
P.S. My name is not Mia and my experience is not only "three" or "free". You guys are just so careless. I don't think you listened "Standard ice" when I said "Less ice". You need to make sure to serve what...
