Kikiee's Restaurant — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

Unfortunately my experience of Kikiee's restaurant was very poor, contrary to the many positive reviews that are here.

I like to give the benefit of the doubt to establishments and I understand that this might have been one of their poorer days however the service and level of food last Saturday was unsatisfactory.

We arrived just after 1pm at a time when the restaurant had no customers and it took 40 minutes for food to arrive. This was extremely disappointing as food is expected to come quickly especially when there are no other customers.

The lady at the front counter did not inform us of any delay or apologise whilst we were waiting for our food.

You would think the food, given our 40 minute wait, would have been stellar, assuming the amount of "time" put into preparing our meals. We ordered simple Bonanza Wrap and Bacon and Egg Wraps and yet the kitchen was unable to provide something that justified their $17 and $10 price point. The "wraps" was a piece of wrap folded in half with filling in the middle! More like a taco. Seasoning was lacking and the food was sadly not hot. The bacon was cold and undelectable with no hints of caramelisation. We sat next to the kitchen and it sounded like the food was being reheated in a microwave with the beeps from the microwave oven. Additionally the quantity of the fries provided was minimal as you can observe in the photo below.

Kikiee's restaurant's redeeming quality was that the chef apologied for the long wait when he presented our food to us.

Kikiees are not just your ordinary Cafe and grill who are there to earn a living and go home. They go above and beyond for their customers. I have witnessed first-hand their equal treatment to all customers waiting in line! Their food is delicious and freshly made and with a lovely Mediterranean touch.

Kikiees are also philanthropic and I have had the pleasure of collaborating with them on various ocassions where they catered for over 55 individuals meals, whilst being mindful of and respecting the cultural differences and preferences.They are an embodiment of Customer satisfaction! Kikiee's restaurant is a vibe not to be missed, they go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your time there. Whether you want a feed with decent proportions or you just want a coffee, they will make sure you are treated the same no matter what.

Furthermore, i could tell they have a passion to provide the community with quality food and drinks, i always have felt at home while at kikiee's.
