Cafe Parkhouse — Restaurant in Graz

The Cafe Parkhouse is an institution for many decades in the Grazer Stadtpark (City Park), the main park in Graz, right next to the city walls of Old Town Graz. Here at the Parkhouse the artists and the liberal scene – if you know what I mean – is meeting up for a chat and to hang out. Also live music is performed here. The Parkhouse itself is a pavilion and features also a nice patio under big trees. The coffee is nice and the atmosphere as well with excellent opening hours (every day till 03:00 am). So the Parkhouse is a perfect spot to meet old and new friends, and from here you can enjoy the big Stadtpark as well, as the Parkhouse is located right in the center of the city park. The staff is friendly, the cappuccino and drinks are nice, and the view is great, since you look on the nearby medieval walls and the castle moat, filled with water, which creates a little pond, where you also can sit at.

We found refuge here when it started raining and ordered coffee and tea.

The waiter was absent most of time (we ended up leaving the money without finding him) so don't expect great service. When we wanted to sit outside he did bring us a towel to clean the chairs from the rain, however we had to clean them ourselves.

We did have a good time here overall and I imagine that with nicer weather it is a really nice place to...

Service und Innhaber herablassend, unfreundlich und inkompetent!! Nach folgender Situation werde ich in diesem Lokal keinen Cent mehr lassen: Beim Servieren, stößt die Kellnerin aus Versehen ein halb volles Glas Makaver um, entschuldigt sich, will dann aber erst mal Kassieren wärend wir noch damit beschäftigt sind unsere Handys und Geldtaschen in Sicherheit zu bringen und Hosenbeine trocken zu legen. Dann geht sie. Erst auf weitere Nachfrage kommt sie, um den Tisch abzuwischen: Selbstgefällig, als würde sie uns damit einen Gefallen tun "Schauts her, da habt ihr mal einen Lappen." Dann ist sie wieder weg. Auf die Frage ob sie uns das Getränk nicht ersetzen will, sagt sie: Nein das geht nicht, das müsste sie aus der eigenen Tasche zahlen und außerdem war ja eh fast nix mehr drinnen. Kurz darauf kommt sie zum Tisch und stellt uns ein 1/4 volles Glas Makaver vor die Nase. "Da bittesehr" und rauscht wieder ab. Daraufhin bringt mein Freund das Glas hinein und fragt was das soll. Auf Nachfrage, diesmal beim Chef, ob es nicht angebracht wäre das Getränk zu ersetzen, meint dieser nur: "Na, wegen...
