Café Bar Restaurant Maria von Burgund — Restaurant in Innsbruck

I was looking for a quick lunch and this cafe was empty so I took a chance. The food was quite good - house salad is very tasty, dressed just right. I was just annoyed by a few things - 1) I was the only customer but my order (fried cheese dumplings and house salad) took forever to come up; 2) they left their doors open and the cigarette smoke outside just kept wafting in, making it really difficult to enjoy a meal and 3) I asked for water and they opened a bottle of still water for me automatically - I thought this was really sneaky as the tap water in Innsbruck is perfectly fine to drink, and all the other restaurants I’ve been to were fine with bringing me water in a glass. It feels like an underhanded way to upcharge customers, especially because they take the bottle cap away so you can’t even take the plastic bottle of water to go. Waitstaff was not unpleasant but considering they essentially ripped me off with a smile on their face about the bottled water, no extra stars. We visited this restaurant with friends for dinner. The others ordered Viennese schnitzel with beef, while I chose the version with pork. For starters, we had beef tartare and antipasti. Unfortunately, I have to say the price for the tartare was absurdly high—charging €25 for a starter is too much. The antipasti price of €9 was also over the top. The beef schnitzel was bland and boring; the pork one was slightly better.

The service was rather poor. Starters and main courses were brought out at the same time, and everything barely fit on the table.

We visited the cafe yesterday the order came out wrong we asked for cheese toastie but it contained ham as we are vegetarian we were upset,Then we asked for the bill we were Then overcharged by 3 euros when we paid I said thank you to the waitress her reply was and I quote.Thank you for nothing.So I questioned her about my bill and found I was charged for two coffees on purpose I also asked her why she was rude and her answer was because we never gave her a tip she then rudely turned her back on us and walked off.I would not recommend this cafe and if you do pay a visit beware of the waitress as she is definitely on the fiddle in there and has no customer service...
