We stayed at this property for two nights, March 11 and 12. Located in the Altstadt area of Innsbruck, it is just a short distance from Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof. A 15-minute walk or 5-minute cab ride. Our train from Zurich arrived a little after noon and I knew we were early for check-in so I ask the front desk clerk, Maximillian, if I could leave our luggage and return at 1400 for check-in. He informed us we had been upgraded from a classic 2 singles to a Queen double and as how no one had stayed in the room last night it was ready now. We were in the room by 1230. Room 308 has outstanding views up and down Herzog-Friedrich Strasse, from Ottoburg to the Golden Roof and the tops of the Alps. The room was very spacious and clean with 2 queen beds, 2 end-of-bed-benches, 2 easy chairs, worktable, large wardroom. The bathroom was very large with a walk-in tub, there was a WC for the toilet. The beds were very comfortable and provided a great nights rest. Breakfast was served in the ground-floor restaurant at a rate of €24/person per day. Seems a little steep until you see what is offered. There is a large variety of the traditional European breakfast, but they will cook your eggs to order. All the wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant also provides local Tyrolean meals for dinner. All the staff we encountered here at the hotel were consummate professionals who go above and beyond what is required. Especially the front desk clerks, Maximillian, and Daniel. They were a fount of knowledge about what to see and where to go and how to get there. The cost of the room was €141.08 per night. The Hackl family should give seminars on how to run a hotel. Everything about this hotel is 5-star. Next time we are in Innsbruck we will stay here again. The only issue you may have is the garbage was collected at 0630 on a Monday morning along Herzog-Friedrich Strasse so the noise may...
Read moreDon't let Best Western in the name deter you, this is a wonderful and classy hotel. This is exactly what you are looking for in a European hotel, a modern, comfortable and clean room, seamlessly integrated into a thousand-year-old historic building. The quality of the room was very comfortable, zero issues. The bathroom is particularly nice. These rooms are so quiet that once you are in the room with your door closed you would think you were the only ones in the building. Zero noise from outside as well, although being on the fourth floor probably helped. If you are in Innsbrook on a leisure trip this is exactly the location you want to be in. Right across the street from the river, about 100 yd down the block from the Golden Roof, a couple blocks from a beautiful park. You really could not ask for a better location. Considering the prime location, the premium service, and quality facilities, not to mention air conditioning, the price was a pleasant surprise. I would not consider another place if I return...
Read moreThis hotel is in a great location in the old town, close to many sights and restaurants. Many famous people have stayed here and are noted in more than one place. Each room has the name of the historic person who stayed in the room you're in, next to your door. The daytime front desk staff were exceptionally welcoming, nice and helpful, but the evening staff not as much. I stayed in both a double and a single room, and both were very clean and fine, and the price was a good value. It was the only hotel I stayed in during a month in Europe that didn't provide hair conditioner to use after shampooing. Breakfast was good but not exceptional, and you can choose to include it for 24 Euros a day or not. Would stay here again if I return to gorgeous Innsbruck, which is...
