Piano Bar-Cafe-Restaurant — Restaurant in Innsbruck

Absolutely fantastic dinner tonight at Piano Cafe Bar. We arrived Innsbrook, late afternoon. Hours of sightseeing later, we asked a bartender for a dinner recommendation. Without hesitation, he said Piano for great local fare including best steaks in Innsbrook. Great recommendation! Service was great, the bathrooms clean! LOL

We shared a great house salad, then dined on the loin strip “Paris-style” and the beef filet in peppercorn sauce. Both steaks were expertly prepared, and served fresh from the kitchen! Sides of the potato cake were amazing! Even the bread was off the charts!

We also shared a bottle of delicious Austrian red wine, and the apricot crepe (they call them pancakes) with a side of vanilla ice cream. Yum! The restaurant was fully booked, but squeezed us in when we agreed to be served whenever they could make it. So glad we did! Best meal in quite some time. Highly recommend Piano...

My wife and I asked a local bar tender to recommend a great local place to eat. He asked "Do you like meat?" And after a long week of skiing we let out a resounding 'yes'. The Piano café does a great job across the board:

We had filets- rare (big for me, small for my wife) pan seared in olive oil with house potatoes and a huge salad- and plenty of wine.

It is a great place to watch Innsbruck locals. A few guests were interrupted by their friends who appeared to stumble upon one another at the Piano Café. My wife and I don't speak German so we were reading body language the best we could.

As an overseas visitor traveling to Austria during Covid-19 time, piano bar and restaurant made the effort to make me feel welcomed and looked after. I do have to show my Vaccination record, which applies to everyone. October being still lovely and not too cold to sit outside I chose it to enjoy the atmosphere and people watching. A lovely brunette waitress took care of me with excellent English, and recommended me what's good in the house etc. She's so obliging that when she got caught up and busy, she apologized profusely! Anyone says Austria waiters have lousy service simply just isn't true (in her case). I had a nice Austrian dish of beef in a creamy pepper sauce with rösti. It's so good I cleaned up the whole plate.
