Edit: I spent just as much time writing my original review as the waiter spent on us at the restaurant. But since you took the time to ask for details, I'm editing my review.
The waiter told us that the restaurant is fully booked. I understand that. There wasn't any follow up though, no intention for a solution like "I can reserve a table for you for tomorrow" or "Please make a reservation next time on the website" (although it is under construction.) Better yet, if you KNOW that you are really fully booked for the whole evening, put a sign out in front of a restaurant saying "Sorry, we are fully booked tonight". This way people without reservation won't go in and meet the waiter only to get told off without any kind of solution. It really felt like we were a problem to get rid of, more work for him rather than a guest at the restaurant. (A local gentleman finishing his drink near the entrance offered his table [small plus table, one chair] only to get told the same: "NO, fully booked." I don't know for sure but I really felt like that table is not in the reservation pool, its an extra for people only drinking something.)
Once again, I understand when a restaurant is fully booked, but I have never been to a restaurant before where this fact was managed...
Read moreFood was nice especially the pasta and tiramisu, the pizza was ok. I am giving a low rating because of the behavior of the Italian waiter. After we finished food i wanted to order another pasta because our young son wanted to try. The waiter told me he cannot accept the second order because the tables are only for 1 hour and i wanted another pasta that will take another 20 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous because our table was not reserved and when we entered the restaurant they haven’t mentioned that they will need the table in 1 hour! They just want to take more customers inside the restaurant to make more money. So if i understand correctly you can order food JUST ONCE with no supplementary orders if you want to. If you are in a hurry it’s a nice restaurant but if you want to come and enjoy the atmosphere and the food drink your wine this is not your place. First time I experienced such a behavior. Very bad. A...
Read moreBoy are we glad we saved writing all our reviews for the Pizzerie in Innsbruck until today. Because finally, we got to eat at due Sicilie. And it was a treat. The ingredients were among the finest we’ve had in a long while. The dough was delicious and soft inside, yet crispy outside and not at all soggy despite the wonderfully juicy toppings. The sauce is beautifully made with less, just as it is meant to be. The selection of toppings leaves little to be desired. And the namesake pie „due Sicilie“ with the Calabrian onions and sausage and the potatoes, just so amazing. Everything you hope for is the pizza with the spicy salami and the 'nduja. The fior di latte is great and I am running out of ways to describe this fantastic meal. And the price is more than right. All thumbs up for this great find and absolutely worth coming back to for some more great Pizza from the wood burning oven. Thanks for an...
