Vegan options appear few and far between in Salzburg, but as a long term vegan that's not a new experience. GustaV was wonderful! The first time, we had a ginger kohlrabi soup and dumplings in goulash which were excellent. I loved the flavours of the latter, in particular the sauerkraut, and would have happily eaten a second serving.
On the second visit, we had the soup and a rice patty with mixed salad which was also very palatable.
On weekdays, choices are more limited with a daily soup, daily entree and daily sandwich. On Saturdays, there are additional breakfast options. I really enjoyed how different the food is from the usual tofu, hummus options and would gladly be back again.
